While standing in the building, \u200done officer allegedly told Mr. Rheiner, &#8220;This is not the right way,&#8221; to which he allegedly responded, &#8220;It is the right way. We got to \u200csend a message.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He exited the\u2063 building roughly seven\u200b minutes later through a broken window on the south side of the Senate Wing door.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rheiner was arrested after law enforcement officials recognized him in a \u200dYouTube video\u2063 of the Capitol riot, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/63205419\/37\/1\/united-states-v-rheiner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">open \u2063letter<\/a> to the U.S. \u200bgovernment, \u2063Mr. Rheiner said he \u200chad been diagnosed with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-gary-sinise-launches-new-initiative-with-home-depot-founders\/\" title=\"WATCH: Gary Sinise Launches New Initiative With Home Depot Founders\">post-traumatic stress disorder<\/a> (PTSD) due\u2063 to psychological trauma he developed during &#8220;religious schooling \u2062that turned out to be a front for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/baltimore-man-sentenced-to-15-months-in-prison-over-jan-6-capitol-breach\/\" title=\"Baltimore man gets 15-month prison term for Jan. 6 Capitol breach.\">criminal child human trafficking ring<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rheiner stated it was because\u200b of former President \u200cDonald \u2064Trump\u2019s &#8220;hardline stance against human trafficking&#8221; that\u200b he supported him and\u200c was in &#8220;such an\u200b emotional state&#8221; on Jan. 6.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Due to\u200d my\u2062 PTSD at\u2063 some point after the president&#8217;s \u2062speech, I went with \u200beverybody else toward the capitol building where other speakers were supposed to \u200cbe setting up for the events\u2063 that day. When I got there, to my surprise multiple security parameters had \u200dalready been breached leaving only one\u2064 more parameter,&#8221; he wrote in the letter.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rheiner said that upon arriving at the\u200b Capitol building, he noticed people \u200bstanding on \u2064top of\u2064 scaffolding towers that were reserved\u200d for news and event staff for the inauguration, adding that the \u2062individuals were &#8220;calling out to the crowd \u2064to march forward tunneling everybody in toward a single location.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-left:0;margin-right:0;max-width:1200px\">\n<figure style=\"width:640px;margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto\" class=\"alignnone\"><figcaption>Supporters\u200c of U.S. President Donald Trump protest at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. (Joseph Prezioso\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>Rheiner Recounts Events of Jan. 6<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;I did\u200c not know at first what was going on, I heard what sounded like grenades going off which triggered my PTSD, and I witnessed other protesters being\u200c hit with nightsticks by crowd control officers,&#8221; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Prior to the incident, I was in a verbal exchange with \u2063one of the police organizers. \u2063I stepped up to the line and I was grabbed along with others\u2062 who were being hit\u2063 by nightsticks I tried to \u200bpull away, that is when I was \u200csprayed by mace, and I proceeded to grab the shield that eventually led to the police\u200c officer falling,&#8221; he continued.<\/p>\n<p>The Baltimore resident\u200d said\u200b he then dropped the \u200cpolice shield and &#8220;retreated to \u200bwhere our militia forces were providing medical services to those of us who were on the front lines so that \u200bI could\u200b get water and \u200cneutralizer for the tear \u2063gas\u2063 because I \u2062couldn\u2019t see.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rheiner als<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Baltimore man, who cited being a victim of human trafficking as his reason for supporting former President Donald Trump, received over a year in prison on Aug. 22.
