Gov. Lee: Transgender athletes would \u2018destroy women\u2019s sports\u2019\">birth certificate<\/a> is all that is requisite for a life of fame and opulence.<\/p>\n<p>And yet, here we are, still fawning\u200c over the royals as we gawk at their latest exploits on\u2062 the covers\u200d of the various dime-a-dozen Hollywood rags displayed along the check-out lane of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/several-killed-including-police-officer-in-tragedy-at-boulder-grocery-store\/\" title=\"Several Killed, Including Police Officer, In Tragedy At Boulder Grocery Store\">local grocery store<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Former Butler to Princess Diana Speaks Out<\/h3>\n<p>As reported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/08\/16\/royal-family-could-become-extinct-if-theyre-not-careful-former-butler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post,<\/a> the former butler \u2063to Princess Diana has spoken out in regards to the shaky ground on which the present monarchy rests.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Burrel said, \u201cThe royals can\u2019t \u200dbe seen to be too excessive because I think the minute\u200c the public don\u2019t want them there, they won\u2019t be there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He followed up, emphasizing his point: \u201c[T]he minute the public rise up, it\u2019s too late\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not only does he think the royal family should be careful to not come across as \u2062lavish, but he also warned that one wrong step could impact their public image. \u201cI think it\u2019s \u2063a dinosaur situation. I\u2019ve always thought to \u200dmyself that they\u2062 could become extinct\u200c if\u2064 they\u2019re not careful,\u201d he continued, saying that they \u201chave to be very careful with the way they spend money and how much \u2064money comes from the privy purse, which is paid\u2064 for by the taxpayer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Burrell speculated, \u201cI think the royals have to show the way. They have to show \u2064the public that \u2062they \u200dare \u200dvalue \u2063for money\u2062 and they are relevant \u2062to today, very important. I \u200dhope they\u2019re getting the right, sound advice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However,\u2064 he \u200dalso \u200bconcluded \u2063by making it clear that he believed the monarchy\u2063 was \u201cworth every penny.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This is not exactly a glowing endorsement of the monarchy as an \u200cinstitution, and such a conversation would itself\u200c be impossible \u200cif it were not for the\u2063 fact that there is\u200c an obvious\u2064 disconnect between the cost of the monarchy and benefit it\u2063 gives to \u2064the people of the British commonwealth nations.<\/p>\n<p>First, the main purpose of any monarchy, by definition, \u2063is to\u200d rule. That is, it is a form of actual government. Even the very meaning of \u200dthe word \u201cmonarchy\u201d implies this. Per <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/monarchy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wiktionary:<\/a> \u201cFrom Old French <em>monarchie<\/em>, from Late Latin <em>monarchia<\/em>, from Ancient Greek <em>\u03bc\u03bf\u03bd\u03b1\u03c1\u03c7\u03af\u03b1<\/em> (monarkh\u00eda), from \u03bc\u03cc\u03bd\u03bf\u03c2 (m\u00f3nos, \u2018only\u2019) + \u1f00\u03c1\u03c7\u03ae (arkh\u1e17, \u2018power, authority\u2019). Surface analysis: mon- (\u2018one,\u2019 \u2018single\u2019) +\u200e -archy (\u2018rule,\u2019 \u2018command\u2019).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, the \u200bactual \u2062monarchy itself does not rule either in \u2062the \u2063executive, judicial, or legislative sense of governance, but rather\u200d operates on a purely hypothetical and symbolic manner, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-56201331\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC<\/a> explained.<\/p>\n<p>Second, the monarchy should be a contributing factor to the \u2064prosperity of the people and not a financial burden, for\u2062 as the French Revolution <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Causes_of_the_French_Revolution\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">taught all of Europe<\/a>,\u200d an expensive\u2064 monarchy is often \u2063paid for \u2064by the heads of the monarchs.<\/p>\n<p>On \u2063this point, as reported by \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/economy\/2023\/5\/2\/how-much-does-the-british-royal-family-cost-its-complicated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aljazeera<\/a>, defenders of the royal family would point out that the \u2063U.K. receives massive amounts of revenue from tourism ($1.95\u2063 billion\u200d in 2017)\u200d thanks to the royals \u200d\u2014 as opposed to their cost to taxpayers ($108 million\u200d between\u200b 2021 and 2022).<\/p>\n<p>However, even \u200cthis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/princess-dianas-butlers-question-about-the-royal-familys-value-for-money-should-be-applied-to-notions-of-royalty-in-general\/\" title=\"Apply Princess Diana's butler's question on the Royal Family's 'value for money' to all notions of royalty.\">surface level argument begs<\/a> the question: If they make so much money from tourism, why rely on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-worthy-recipient-pro-life-group-names-trump-pro-life-person-of-the-year\/\" title=\"\u201cA Worthy Recipient\u201d- Pro-Life Group Names Trump Pro-Life \u201cPerson Of The Year\u201d\">tax dollars<\/a> at all?<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps, like all other celebrities, they should earn their income from their \u200cfame, not from the\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/government-unions-have-been-stealing-money-for-years-now-scotus-has-the-chance-to-intervene\/\" title=\"Government Unions Have Been Stealing Money For Years \u2014 Now, SCOTUS Has The Chance To Intervene\">hard-earned dollars<\/a>\u200d of others. Call this good old fashioned American \u200cdad-sense: If you are\u200c making so much money, you can pay your own\u200b dang rent!<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, and most importantly, \u200done \u200dof the \u2062oaths that were to \u200bbe made by\u2064 the English monarchs was to defend and uphold the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/350-million-people-around-world-heard-gospel-live-tv-no-idea-coming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christian faith<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, with the existential moral and spiritual crisis which faces the West, an inspiring and charismatic \u200dChristian monarch who dared to lead Europeans back to Christ might even find support among Americans; however, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2019\/jul\/11\/uk-secularism-on-rise-as-more-than-half-say-they-have-no-religion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guardian,<\/a> they have failed\u200c here as well.<\/p>\n<p>However, this is a decision that needs to be made \u200bby the British, and no one can make it for them.<\/p>\n<p>After all, we are Americans! It is in our blood\u200c to oppose kings and tyrants! Of course, we think the monarchy should be scrapped!<\/p>\n<p>Yes indeed, we\u200b fought a revolution for representative government and independence from the crown, so we might\u200c be \u201ccitizens\u201d rather\u200d than\u200c \u201csubjects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, we must be careful in our pride lest we fall.<\/p>\n<p>As the Catholic libertarian \u200cand monarchist, \u200bErik \u2063von Kuehnelt-Leddihn demonstrated in\u2062 his work,\u200b \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Liberty-Equality-Challenge-Our-Times\/dp\/1610160304\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liberty or Equality<\/a>,\u201d our striving for equality leads first\u200d from a democracy with \u201cequality-of-opportunity\u201d to the idea of \u201cequality-of-outcome\u201d in which\u2062 individual rights are ultimately eroded\u2063 with the \u2063expansion of a regulatory welfare state which attempts to make everyone \u201cthe same\u201d regardless of whether they earned it.<\/p>\n<p>One only needs to examine the <a href=\"https:\/\/answersingenesis.org\/blogs\/patricia-engler\/french-revolution-is-warning-for-christians-today\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">acts of the Jacobins<\/a> after abolishing the monarchy in France to see that advocating for \u2064equality does not necessarily guarantee a free and moral society. Often it can result in an explosion of atheism, communism,\u200b violence, and\u2062 hedonism.<\/p>\n<p>This is\u2064 what we are \u200dseeing happen in \u201cthe land of the free\u201d right now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/op-ed-marxists-get-way-america-experience-reign-terror\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with our very eyes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Our old nemesis King George could only have dreamed of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-biden-admin-may-use-private-firms-spy-unsuspecting-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">power to spy<\/a> on the population and infringe upon the rights of his people\u200c as our own \u201cgovernment by the people\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/americans-already-pulling-accounts-credit-unions-dems-irs-spying-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">currently does<\/a>. Indeed, the march for equality is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pelosis-equality-act-lead-parents-losing-custody-kids-want-gender-transition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the \u2064same mantra<\/a> of\u2064 the LGBTQ movement \u2014 and every\u2062 other \u200dsocial cancer in our society.<\/p>\n<p>This \u200cof course is not \u2063a defense of the monarchy. \u2063After all, King Charles is clearly a velvet wannabe tyrant in bed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2020\/11\/prince-charles-the-10-actions-we-must-take-to-tackle-climate-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Economic Forum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But this is the entire sad point: We were supposed to be different.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day,\u200c one king with a crown that chooses tyranny is no better than a few \u2062hundred representatives with a piece of a paper who also choose\u200d tyranny at the behest of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/op-ed-banks-fighting-let-esg-investors-fund-far-left-political-goals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESG espousing lobbyists<\/a> in the\u200b banking sector.<\/p>\n<p>We were, as Americans, entrusted with a uniquely liberating system and a brilliant constitution in\u2064 which we enshrined certain inalienable rights which were endowed to us by God. But we have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/christianity-track-become-minority-religion-america-report-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abandoned the faith<\/a> of our fathers and set\u200b aside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/poll-stunning-percentage-generation-z-identifies-lgbt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laws of God<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In our \u200dzeal to rid the world of useless monarchs, we should not \u200bforget to look in the mirror and remember\u200b that our constitution is nothing but a mere paper crown when we forget the foundation upon which it originally rested.<\/p>\n<p>As\u2064 the founding father John Adams <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brainyquote.com\/quotes\/john_adams_391045\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">once said<\/a>: \u201cOur Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.
