This latest\u2064 criminal \u2062effort is believed to be connected to the notorious Lazarus Group and APT38, both affiliated with North Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier \u2063this year, these groups were responsible for a series of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/north-korean-hackers-to-cash-out-40-million-in-stolen-crypto-fbi\/\" title=\"FBI: North Korean hackers set to pocket M from stolen crypto.\">high-profile cryptocurrency hacks<\/a>. Notable incidents include a $60 \u2062million theft from payment \u2062processor Alphapo and the pilfering of $100 million\u200b in assets\u200c from crypto company Atomic Wallet.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI \u200chas identified six <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/irs-asks-congress-for-authority-to-collect-cryptocurrency-information\/\" title=\"IRS Asks Congress For Authority To Collect Cryptocurrency Information\">crypto wallets<\/a>\u200c that currently hold\u2063 a total of $41 million \u200bin stolen assets. In a \u2062bid to prevent further damage, the bureau has urged crypto companies \u200cto avoid \u200cany interaction with these wallets, as \u200cthey suspect the hackers will attempt to cash out the stolen \u2063assets through \u200bthem.<\/p>\n<h3>Trump, \u2062DeSantis, and 2024 GOP Hopefuls&#8217; Stance on Elections<\/h3>\n<p>In a statement, the FBI declared, &#8220;The DPRK&#8217;s\u2063 use of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rep-greg-steube-introduces-impeachment-articles-against-president-joe-biden\/\" title=\"Rep. Greg Steube files impeachment articles against President Joe Biden.\">illicit\u2062 activities<\/a>, including cybercrime and virtual currency theft, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-gop-sen-capito-talk-infrastructure-deal\/\" title=\"Biden, GOP Sen. Capito Talk Infrastructure Deal\">generate revenue<\/a> for\u200c the regime will continue\u200b to be exposed and combated.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is not\u200c the \u200cfirst time Lazarus and APT38 have been\u200d implicated in cryptocurrency \u200chacks. In January, the\u200b bureau confirmed\u200c that Lazarus \u200dwas responsible for the theft \u200bof $100 million\u2062 worth of ethereum from\u2062 the crypto bridge Harmony.
