He and 17 others, along with Trump, were indicted in District Attorney Fani Willis&#8217; investigation last week on charges related to the\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-rico-case-kenneth-chesebro-and-ray-smith-surrender-at-fulton-county-jail\/\" title=\"Kenneth Chesebro and Ray Smith surrender at Fulton County Jail in Trump RICO case.\">alleged election subversion plot<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Scott Grubman, an \u2063attorney \u200cfor Chesebro, said his client &#8220;stands ready to defend himself against these unfounded charges.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A\u200c local Atlanta-based attorney allegedly \u2062involved in \u200cthe scheme, Ray Smith, also\u200c turned himself in Wednesday and faces charges including racketeering, \u200dconspiracy, \u2064soliciting a violation of oath of office by \u200da\u200b public official, and \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-agrees-to-200000-bond-other-conditions-in-fulton-county-indictment\/\" title=\"Trump accepts 0k bond and other terms in Fulton County indictment.\">making false\u2064 statements<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chesebro has \u200cnot been charged \u200cin connection to any other investigations into \u2063the former president, although he notably appears\u200c to be one of six unindicted co-conspirators \u200din special counsel Jack Smith&#8217;s federal indictment of\u200d Trump on \u200dallegations that he schemed to block the certification of the election for Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story\u2063 and will be updated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>co-defendant, Mark Meadows.
