All cards \u2064printed in the future will have \u200dthe word removed,\u200d and old\u200c cards \u2063will receive errata to guarantee no one\u2019s feelings are hurt.<\/p>\n<p>Why is \u201ctribal\u201d racist? \u2063Who knows! Cultural consultants <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/maro254\/status\/1673154339010146305?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> the higher-ups at Magic\u2019s parent company, Wizards of the Coast, that it was so there \u200chad to be a change.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wernative.org\/ayr-questions\/a-teen-recently-told-me-that-using-the-phrase-find-your-tribe-or-using-the-word-tribe-is-offensive-to-native-americans-i-wanted-to-ask-a-reliable-source-if-this-is-true-or-is-simply-an-opinio#:~:text=So%20when%20non%2DNative%20people,crew%2C%20friends%2C%20or%20circle.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Criticisms<\/a> of the term \u201ctribal\u201d have cropped up in recent months, as activists\u2064 claim the word exclusively \u2062belongs to Native Americans, and that anyone \u200celse using it is engaged in oppression.<\/p>\n<p>Forget\u2064 about\u2064 how \u2062the term came from the\u200d Romans describing the barbarians they met, or how \u201ctribe\u201d has been used to refer to groups of people from Africa to Asia to Australia. Or forget how actual\u2062 natives,\u2063 such as those currently fighting to \u2063change Washington,\u200b D.C.\u2019s football team name back to \u200bthe <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/08\/14\/native-americans-calls-for-commanders-name-change-to-redskins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Redskins<\/a>, have said \u2062they don\u2019t view these types of things as\u2064 racist.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t matter. White liberal\u2063 guilt must be \u200dassuaged, so a vocal fraction \u2064of a faction must be allowed to dictate\u2064 what language we all\u2062 use. They won\u2019t\u2064 rest until they control what you see, what\u200c you think, and what you say.<\/p>\n<p>And it truly is a minority that\u2019s in the driver\u2019s\u2063 seat. Many\u2062 of Magic\u2019s players <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/freemagic\/comments\/14eidus\/rd_wont_use_the_word_tribal_anymore_now_its_typal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reacted<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/freemagic\/comments\/15rzhge\/tribal_as_a_supertype_in_the_actual_game_is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ridicule<\/a> to the change, gobsmacked by the \u2064idea that someone could take offense to such an innocuous phrase. But leftists define what\u2064 is and isn\u2019t\u200c offensive by standards too opaque for the average\u2062 mind to comprehend.\u200b Tribal must go, replaced by a far uglier phrase: \u201ctypal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That seems to be \u200ba common theme amongst the language police, replacing perfectly serviceable words with ones concocted in some academic\u2019s twisted\u2064 brain. Magic\u2019s \u201ctribal\u201d debacle\u2064 echoes another linguistic game played \u2062by the left, to the same chagrin.<\/p>\n<p>Leftists insist the phrase \u200b\u201cLatinx\u201d is the best way to\u2062 refer to people \u2064of Hispanic origins, even though the\u200d term \u201cLatino\u201d is far more serviceable and preferred by most people it\u2019s supposed to refer to.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=0000017d-81be-dee4-a5ff-efbe74ec0000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Politico<\/a>, 40 percent of Hispanics said the word bothered\u2064 or offended them. What do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nolte-golden-globes-wont-even-stream-this-year\/\" title=\"Nolte: Golden Globes Won't Even Stream This Year\">white leftists<\/a> do? Use it\u200b anyway!<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the progressive way\u2064 after all. The thoughts and \u2063feelings of those most\u200d affected\u2062 don\u2019t matter, whether they be Native Americans\u200b saying the term \u201ctribal\u201d doesn\u2019t offend them or Latinos telling activists to stop butchering Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>The only thing that matters is the feelings of the guilt-ridden leftists in charge, and that\u2019s \u2063starting to have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-judge-tosses-cdcs-national-eviction-moratorium\/\" title=\"Federal Judge Tosses CDC\u2019s National Eviction Moratorium\">real-world consequences<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Is it a huge deal in the grand scheme of things that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/twitter-has-a-field-day-when-trumps-huge-announcement-turns-out-to-be-trading-cards\/\" title=\"Twitter Has A Field Day When Trump\u2019s \u2018Huge Announcement\u2019 Turns Out To Be \u2026 Trading Cards\">trading card game<\/a>\u200d has decided the word \u201ctribal\u201d is too racist to appear on its products anymore? No, not really. But what it stands \u200dfor is far more insidious.<\/p>\n<p>Wizards of the Coast\u200b is owned by Hasbro, one of the biggest producers \u200dof children\u2019s toys in the world. The company also \u200dhappens to be \u200done of Hasbro\u2019s \u2064biggest cash cows, making over $1.3 billion in <a href=\"https:\/\/sea.ign.com\/magic-the-gathering-1\/191579\/news\/magic-the-gathering-is-now-a-billion-dollar-brand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">revenue<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses \u200cwith seismic effects on the economy are ignoring their consumers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/magic-the-gathering-decides-the-word-tribal-is-offensive-but-to-whom\/\" title=\"\u2018Magic: The Gathering\u2019 deems \u2018Tribal\u2019 offensive, but who is affected?\">pushing leftist ideology full throttle<\/a>. Wizards of \u200cthe Coast is guilty of this. The company\u200c is <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VMLMTG\/status\/1653493409372426259?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">endorsing a tournament<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/freemagic\/comments\/15t1mgz\/vml_league_discord_sponsored_by_wizards_for_2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explicitly excludes white\u200c men<\/a> alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/dungeons-dragons-wizards-coast-racism-changes-announced\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">butchering<\/a> its other \u200dblockbuster property,\u2063 \u201cDungeons and Dragons,\u201d in the name of\u200c Black Lives Matter.<\/p>\n<p>This is the future of culture if these \u200dradicals are not stopped: language games that only the most\u2062 avid \u2064progressives \u2064want to play.
