However, each presented a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/conditions-are-too-dangerous-to-recover-bodies-of-2-men-killed-in-alaska-plane-crash-officials-say\/\" title=\"Officials say it's too risky to retrieve bodies of 2 men killed in Alaska plane crash.\">significant overhead rockfall hazard<\/a>, officials\u2063 said.<\/p>\n<p>Rangers also explored whether they \u200bcould get\u200d the airplane wreckage with a mechanical grabber\u200b attached to the end of\u200c a 450-foot \u2064(137-meter) long line, lowered from a helicopter. After testing it, it was determined it \u2064would present an excessive risk to \u2063the helicopter pilot\u200b and spotter because of the unknown \u2062weight of wreckage, whether it could be transported and the limited rotor clearance\u2062 with the terrain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith great empathy for the families of the deceased \u200bpilot and hunter, we have made the difficult determination\u2063 not to attempt a recovery\u200d effort at this time,\u201d Brooke Merrell, Denali Park superintendent, said in the\u2062 statement. \u201cThe\u2063 steep terrain at\u200b the accident site would make a recovery operation too dangerous to further risk the lives of\u200c rangers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A day after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/search-and-rescue-teams-at-site-of-indonesian-plane-crash\/\" title=\"Search and rescue teams at site of Indonesian plane crash\">plane crashed<\/a>,\u200d Alaska State Troopers were alerted of a stranded hunter at a\u2062 remote airstrip \u2062near the park\u2019s southwestern \u200dboundary.
