(Richard\u2062 Vogel\/AP Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The hospital initially lost power at \u200d3 a.m. on Aug.\u2062 21 as Tropical Storm Hilary dumped a stretch of rainfall on the city, \u2064John Raffoul,\u200b the president of Adventist Health White Memorial, said\u2064 during Tuesday&#8217;s news conference.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have three generators \u2064that immediately kicked in, and those generators are supposed\u2062 to \u200dlast for about three days,&#8221; Mr. \u2062Raffoul said. &#8220;However, this morning \u200c&#8230; we experienced an \u200boutage of our emergency generators\u2062 as well, so we had no power going through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doctor-suggests-hospital-change-covid-case-count-a-little-bit-more-scary-for-the-public\/\" title=\"Doctor Suggests Hospital Change COVID Case Count: \u2018A Little Bit More Scary For The Public\u2019\">main hospital<\/a> building.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Besides the fact a major storm hit \u200dthe area in \u2064Southern California, Mr. Raffoul said\u200c the cause\u200b of the double\u2063 power failure is unclear at this time.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that &#8220;all patients are fine,&#8221; \u200badding a new generator has been ordered and is en route to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;An emergency generator was ordered from the city of\u200b industry and will be here shortly to power\u200c our main hospital while we figure out what went on with the main\u2064 power and our emergency generators that our\u200b in-house here,&#8221; Mr. Raffoul said. &#8220;We \u2063are in the mode of investigating that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/poweroutage.us\/area\/state\/california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PowerOutage.us<\/a>, there\u200d were nearly 600\u2062 customers without power in Los Angeles County as of 12 a.m. \u200blocal time.<\/p>\n<p><em>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntd.com\/hundreds-of-patients-evacuated-after-la-hospital-loses-power-in-storms-wake_937700.html\">NTD News<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A power outage caused by Tropical Storm Hilary in Los Angeles forced the evacuation of hundreds of patients, including 28 in critical condition, from a medical facility.
