The company denies being a security \u2064risk. <\/p>\n<p>If Huawei is constructing facilities under names of other companies as Semiconductor Industry Association says, then it might be\u200b able to circumvent U.S. government restrictions to\u2062 indirectly purchase American chip-making\u2062 equipment, according to the Bloomberg report. <\/p>\n<p>Huawei and\u200b the Semiconductor \u2064Industry Association did not immediately respond to Reuters\u2019 requests for comment. <\/p>\n<p>Huawei has been placed\u2063 on a trade blacklist in the United States, restricting\u200d most suppliers from shipping\u2063 goods \u200dand \u2062technology to \u200bthe company unless they \u2064were granted\u2063 licenses. It has already acquired two existing plants and is currently building three more.<\/p>\n<p>If the\u200c Semiconductor Industry Association&#8217;s claims are\u2062 true, \u2063Huawei may be able \u2064to bypass U.S. government restrictions by operating\u2062 these \u2063facilities under the names of \u200cother companies. This would allow the company to indirectly purchase \u2063American chip-making equipment, as reported by Bloomberg.<\/p>\n<p>Both Huawei\u2064 and the Semiconductor Industry Association \u200chave \u2062yet to respond to requests for \u2062comment from Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>Huawei has\u200d faced \u200csignificant challenges in\u200b the \u200dUnited States, including being placed on \u2063a trade blacklist that restricts most suppliers from shipping goods and\u200d technology\u200d to the \u200bcompany without proper licenses.
