Winsome\u2062 Earle-Sears has taken a stand against several school districts\u200b in the state for their refusal to embrace the \u200bstate&#8217;s guidance and policies \u200cregarding transgender students.\u2064 One of the\u2063 largest districts in Virginia,\u200b Fairfax County Public Schools, recently announced that \u2064it would not adopt\u2064 Gov. Glenn Youngkin&#8217;s (R-VA) \u2063policy and would continue to respect the names and pronouns chosen by transgender students. Earle-Sears, a strong \u200dadvocate for school choice, emphasized \u200cthat \u200bthe governor&#8217;s policies are\u200b not controversial and that parents&#8217; rights \u2064extend beyond \u200ddropping off and picking\u200c up their\u2063 children.<\/p>\n<h3>Championing Parental Rights\u2064 in Education<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;The\u2063 issue is \u200cthat school boards are acting \u2062as judge \u200dand\u2063 jury, imposing their\u200d own educational \u200bagenda,&#8221; Earle-Sears expressed during an appearance \u2063on Fox \u200bNews&#8217;s America Reports. &#8220;They claim to have made a determination, but \u200bin reality, they are not following the\u2063 law. Youngkin has also voiced\u200d his disapproval of\u2062 FCPS&#8217;s decision \u200bto disregard his policy on transgender students.
