Bush Talks to Trump About Political Options for Texas\">land commissioner<\/a><\/a> of Texas is raising a red flag over the \u200dBiden administration\u2019s newest \u2063use of the Endangered Species Act at\u200c the\u200d state\u2019s southern border.<\/p>\n<p>Texas General Land Office Commissioner Dawn Buckingham \u200daccused the\u200b federal government of misusing the \u200blaw to interfere with the Lone \u200bStar State\u2019s law enforcement operations at the Rio\u200c Grande River.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/doj-demands-texas-remove-unlawful-barriers-border-abbott-issues-brutal-response\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Justice<\/a> sued Texas in \u200bJuly, demanding the state halt the use of buoys in the river \u200dto deter illegal\u200b aliens from crossing the international boundary, according\u2062 to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/energy-environment\/texas-border-buoys-endangered-species\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Examiner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Fish and Wildlife Service of\u2063 the Department of the\u2064 Interior listed two species of mussels as \u201cendangered\u201d the day after \u2062the lawsuit \u2063was filed \u2014 an act that could jeopardize the buoys.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200bRio Grande would be designated a \u201ccritical\u2063 habitat\u201d\u2063 for the mussels \u200bthrough \u200bthe action.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">More images \u200bfrom Eagle Pass, Texas taken Monday, August 14, \u20642023.<\/p>\n<p>1.
