After \u2064refusing, he eventually complied when threatened with police intervention. However,\u200c he\u2063 continued to\u200d engage in debates \u2064with passing students throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Schmidt defended his actions, stating, &#8220;I&#8217;m just\u2064 trying to tell the truth and bring people to God. That&#8217;s all there is. There are not any more genders than \u2062that. She highlighted the importance of\u200b college campuses as a &#8220;marketplace of ideas&#8221; that encourages inquiry \u200band challenges assumptions.<\/p>\n<p>The university, while disappointed with the \u2064ruling, has stated \u200cthat it will comply with the terms of the preliminary injunction. It is currently \u2064considering\u2064 whether to continue defending its policy in court.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Providing a forum for free expression and the airing of diverse views\u2063 is a foundational\u2064 principle for UW.
