In all, the \u200b98-page indictment included 161\u2064 acts of racketeering and 41 total charges. President Trump was charged on 13 counts.<\/p>\n<h2>Bond Set at $200,000<\/h2>\n<p>Also on \u2064Monday, Judge Scott McAfee began setting bond \u2062and \u2062release conditions for \u2064the defendants.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/live-530-pm-et-ntd-evening-news-aug-21-trumps-georgia-bond-set-at-200000-bidens-visit-hawaii-femas-disaster-fund-running-out-of-money\/\" title=\"LIVE 5:30 PM ET: NTD Evening News (Aug. 21): Trump's Georgia Bail Set at 0K; Bidens in Hawaii; FEMA's Funds Depleting.\">newly posted court records<\/a>\u2064 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23921632-23sc188947-consent-orderpdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pdf<\/a>), President Trump has agreed to \u200bhave his bond\u2062 set at $200,000.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Following \u2064negotiations with the \u200dprosecution, \u2063Attorney John Eastman&#8217;s bond was set at $100,000; Scott Hall, a bail bondsman, had bond \u2063set at $10,000; Attorney Kenneth Chesebro&#8217;s bond was set at $100,000; and attorney \u2064Ray Smith III&#8217;s bond was set at $50,000.<\/p>\n<p>All of the defendants have bond conditions that prohibit \u2062what \u2063they can say, but President Trump is the only one whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-confirms-thursday-surrender-in-georgia-case-over-2020-election\/\" title=\"Trump admits defeat in Georgia election case.\">restrictions include specific details<\/a>, including prohibiting him from making any &#8220;direct or indirect threat of any nature&#8221; against codefendants, \u2063victims,\u200d the\u200c community, including in his &#8220;posts on social\u200d media or reposts of posts made by another individual on social \u2062media.<\/p>\n<h2>Rising \u2064Poll Numbers<\/h2>\n<p>President Trump&#8217;s polling has only trended <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2024\/president\/us\/2024_republican_presidential_nomination-7548.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upwards<\/a> since his first indictment in April.<\/p>\n<p>Amid a flurry of recent legal action\u2014motions have been filed in\u2064 both criminal and civil cases\u2063 that President Trump is named in\u2014the GOP frontrunner&#8217;s polling has only improved.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 21, new\u200b poll numbers released put President Trump well \u2064ahead his challengers, especially as\u2063 runner-up Florida Gov. Ron \u200cDeSantis&#8217;s numbers have been slipping.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/110929690122735664\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">difference<\/a> was 62-16 percent according \u200bto a CBS poll, 57-18\u200c percent according to a Quinnipiac University poll, and 53-16 percent according to a Fox News poll.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/trump-dominates-the-republican-field-in-new-iowa-poll-5477753\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iowa<\/a>, a poll carried out by Des \u200bMoines\u2063 Register, NBC \u200cNews, and Mediacom put him at 42 percent of the \u2063vote that surveyed likely Republican caucus-goers. Mr. DeSantis came in\u200b at 19 percent, and Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) placed \u2064third with 9 percent. When the former president was indicted for the first time earlier this year, he \u2063likewise saw a\u200c surge in the\u200b polls\u2014and\u200d in\u2063 fundraising.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/manhattan-prosecutor-overcharged-trump-in-weak-case-could-backfire-with-jury-legal-analysts-5171844\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Observers<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/elon-musk-warns-trump-indictment-will-backfire-predicts-landslide-reelection-5132880\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have<\/a> noted that the increased legal action against him may only make his supporters dig\u200b their heels in, as the legal \u2064challenges might be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/what-to-expect-with-the-jan-6-grand-jury-investigation-into-trump-5422459\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">viewed<\/a> as political action on the behalf\u200d of his rival, the incumbent president.<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden has stayed quiet on\u2062 the matter, ignoring questions\u2063 from the\u200d media about President Trump&#8217;s indictments.
