The decision was made by \u200ca three-judge panel for the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, all of whom were appointed by former\u2062 President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Alabama has &#8220;a compelling interest in protecting \u2063children \u200dfrom drugs, particularly those for which there\u200c is uncertainty regarding benefits,\u2063 recent surges in use, and irreversible effects,&#8221; the panel stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The ruling, authored by Judge Barbara Lagoa, allows\u2062 Alabama&#8217;s restriction \u200con puberty blockers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/very-complicated-dr-rachel-levine-dodges-sen-pauls-issue-about-sex-adjustments-for-children\/\" title=\"\u2018Very Complicated\u2019: Dr. Rachel Levine Dodges Sen. Paul\u2019s Issue About Sex Adjustments For Children\">cross-sex hormones<\/a> to take effect.\u2064 Yellowhammer State Attorney General Steve Marshall \u200cexpressed\u200b his\u200d satisfaction with the decision, emphasizing the state&#8217;s responsibility to safeguard the well-being of minors.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAlabama takes this responsibility seriously by forbidding doctors from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/alabama-child-medical-transition-ban-reinstated-by-us-appeals-court\/\" title=\"US appeals court reinstates ban on Alabama child medical transition.\">prescribing\u200c minors sex-modification procedures<\/a> that have permanent and often irreversible \u2064effects. \u2064This\u200c is a significant victory for our country,\u200d for children, and\u200b for common sense,\u201d Marshall said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The plaintiffs, represented\u2062 by\u2064 Birmingham-based lawyer Jeff \u2063Doss, are considering their options for appeal. Meanwhile, medical advocates\u2064 who have \u2063been raising\u2063 concerns about the dangers \u2062of child transition procedures are applauding\u200b the circuit court&#8217;s decision.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;While it is unfortunate that the government needs to intervene in medical care, \u200dthe \u2064overwhelming \u200bevidence shows that so<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mike-johnson-pushes-federal-ban-on-child-transgender-surgeries-to-stop-unspeakable-harms\/\" title=\"Mike Johnson advocates for a federal ban on child transgender surgeries to prevent significant harm.\">-called gender-affirming\u2064 care<\/a> is not based on rigorous scientific data and likely produces more harm than good,&#8221; said Do No Harm Chairman Stanley Goldfarb. &#8220;This\u200d is \u2063the conclusion of four European countries at this point, and it will be the conclusion once medical authorities in the United States confront the reality of the current scientific literature.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Goldfarb added, &#8220;Do No Harm supports these\u2063 bans\u2063 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/god-loves-me-10-year-old-trans-child-quotes-bible-to-tell-tx-legislators-why-they-shouldnt-ban-trans-surgeries-procedures-for-minors\/\" title=\"\u2018God Loves Me\u2019: 10-Year-Old Trans Child Quotes Bible To Tell TX Legislators Why They Shouldn\u2019t Ban Trans Surgeries, Procedures For Minors\">gender-affirming care<\/a> because \u2064we want \u200bto protect \u200bchildren. They do not need drugs and surgery.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The \u2063appeals court decision\u200d reverses a previous \u2062ruling by District\u2064 Judge\u2062 Liles Burke, who blocked the law last year.
