Principals in Montgomery\u2064 County Public Schools (MCPS) claim that the school \u2062system \u2064publicly assured \u2062parents\u2062 that it would not indoctrinate \u2063their children, only to force principals to bear the brunt of implementing\u2063 the opposite.<\/p>\n<h3>New Fault Lines on \u2064Sexual Indoctrination<\/h3>\n<p>These dual criticisms \u200dfrom \u2063the Muslim\u2062 group and the labor union highlight the emerging fault lines on sexual indoctrination in\u200d minority-heavy, Democrat-dominated school systems like\u2063 MCPS. This large \u2062district, located outside of \u200bWashington, D.C., witnessed protests this summer where hundreds of immigrants gathered to \u200badvocate \u200dfor parental rights, \u200dwhile white female Democrat activists shouted them\u200c down.<\/p>\n<p>MCPS argued that it prohibited \u200dopt-outs due to the disruptive nature of the high number \u200dof parents wanting to opt out. However, in response \u200cto a \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/after-commuting-his-sentence-ca-gov-newsom-reverses-parole-for-convicted-double-murderer\/\" title=\"After Commuting His Sentence, CA Gov. Newsom Reverses Parole For Convicted Double Murderer\">public records request<\/a>, MCPS admitted to having no\u2064 data on the number of people seeking opt-outs. Additionally, a \u200cCAIR official stated in a deposition that\u200c a school official repeatedly attributed the decision\u200c to pressure from a few \u200cLGBT activists.<\/p>\n<p>CAIR \u2062National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell condemned MCPS, stating, &#8220;Contrary to its claims, MCPS has indeed instructed Pre-K through\u200c 12 English \u2063teachers \u2064to teach detailed concepts that\u2063 would normally arise in\u200c sex education courses and then \u200bscold, debate, or silence \u200donly children who express traditional\u200b or\u200b religious views about those topics. This is wrong. So is MCPS&#8217;\u2062 decision to mislead the public and a \u2064federal court about why it canceled the \u200bopt-out option earlier this year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Emails obtained by CAIR reveal that the district&#8217;s principals union expressed anger in November 2022 over\u200c MCPS publicly \u200cassuring parents that \u200dit would not indoctrinate \u2064their\u2063 children, only to later order principals to do so.\u200c The union argued that internal \u200bdocuments contradict MCPS&#8217; claim\u200c that \u200dLGBTQ books were merely examples of literature being studied in English, \u200dsuggesting that they support explicit teaching of gender and sexual identity.<\/p>\n<p>MCPS documents also replace the term &#8220;parents&#8221; with &#8220;caregivers&#8221; and provide instructions to teachers on\u2064 how to dismiss concerns from parents. The union criticized \u2064the suggested \u2064response,\u2064 stating that \u2063teachers were being forced to make shaming \u200ccomments to children and present personal opinions as\u2064 facts.<\/p>\n<p>The union also raised concerns about \u200dMCPS \u200bpushing books about transgenderism to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/american-public-schools-lost-more-than-a-million-students-last-year\/\" title=\"American Public Schools Lost More Than A Million Students Last Year\">young elementary school students<\/a> before \u2063they receive sex education in fifth grade. It argued that the content of these\u2062 books\u200d does not align with the school&#8217;s\u200c stated messages and\u2064 requested that MCPS \u200dconsider alternative titles that better align with their communicated intent.<\/p>\n<p>MCPS&#8217; choice of books includes titles such as &#8220;Pride Puppy&#8221; for preschoolers, &#8220;Intersection\u200d Allies&#8221; for first graders,\u2064 &#8220;My Rainbow&#8221; about an autistic girl\u200d who identifies\u200b as\u2062 transgender for second graders, and \u2062&#8221;Love,\u200c Violet&#8221;\u200b about\u2063 a\u2063 young girl falling in love\u200b with another girl in her class for fourth graders.
