Kathy\u2063 Hochul (D-NY)\u2064 to take immediate action in response to \u200ba concerning report. The report reveals that the Chinese Communist Party has funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars\u200c to New York schools, raising serious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nyc-subway-uses-ai-to-combat-fare-evasion\/\" title=\"NYC Subway employs AI to tackle fare evasion.\">national\u200b security concerns<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Lawmakers Demand Investigation<\/h3>\n<p>Led by Rep. \u200dBrandon\u2062 Williams (R-NY), this group of lawmakers is determined \u200dto address the issue head-on. Alongside Williams, Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-NY),\u200d Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), \u2064Claudia Tenney (R-NY), Mike\u2063 Lawler (R-NY), Anthony D&#8217;Esposito (R-NY), \u2062and Marc\u200d Molinaro (R-NY)\u2062 have\u2064 all\u2063 signed a letter urging Gov. Hochul to investigate the report.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Considering China\u2019s adversarial relationship with the \u2062United \u2063States,\u2064 this is deeply problematic and presents a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/blackburn-introduces-amendments-to-counter-china-and-iran\/\" title=\"Blackburn Introduces Amendments to Counter China and Iran\">national security concern<\/a> for our constituents and state,&#8221; the lawmakers wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2063 cannot sit idle and allow \u2064China to \u2062infiltrate our classrooms and communities through these controversial programs. We are writing\u2064 to not only share this \u2064dangerous\u2063 situation, but to request \u2064that you \u200caddress this \u2063concerning report and the underlying\u2062 issue of \u200cCCP influence in New York K-12 education,&#8221; they added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The lawmakers \u2064have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-chamber-of-commerce-tells-congress-retail-theft-needs-stricter-penalties\/\" title=\"U.S. Chamber of Commerce Tells Congress Retail Theft Needs Stricter Penalties\">outlined specific actions<\/a> they believe should be \u2062taken. They are calling \u200don Gov. Hochul to direct the New York \u2064Department of\u2063 Education to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-york-republicans-urge-hochul-to-investigate-chinese-influence-in-state-schools\/\" title=\"NY Republicans want Hochul to probe Chinese influence in state schools.\">tighten reporting requirements<\/a> for foreign funding in schools, mandate K-12 schools to\u200c release an annual \u2062report\u2064 of any foreign funds, and\u200b thoroughly\u200c investigate any partnerships or ties that schools \u200bmay have with the Chinese Communist Party \u200cor military.<\/p>\n<h3>A Growing Threat<\/h3>\n<p>Rep. Williams, who spearheaded the letter, \u2062expressed his\u200d deep concerns about\u2063 the \u200dsituation. In \u2064a \u200dstatement to the\u200c Washington Examiner, \u2062he emphasized the need for immediate action:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The Chinese\u200c Communist\u2063 Party \u2062is wrapping its tentacles of espionage and\u200b influence \u200baround America\u2019s schoolchildren. Before it\u2019s too late, the \u2062U.S. needs to take bold steps to expel all CCP\u200d involvement from\u200d our education institutions, especially our K-12 classrooms,&#8221; Williams said. &#8220;Gov.\u200c Hochul, will you help us stop the CCP from secretly influencing\u2062 K-12 \u200ceducation in New York State? Nothing \u200bgood\u200b will come from a totalitarian and\u200b tyrannical \u200cgovernment messing with our kids. Will you stand \u200dwith us?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rep. Stefanik also \u200bvoiced her concerns,\u200c criticizing \u200dGov.\u2063 Hochul for not taking \u200dimmediate action:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cCommunist China \u2062is \u200dinvading America\u2019s\u2063 classrooms, funneling\u200b over $17 million from CCP financial institutions into K-12\u200b schools right in\u2062 our backyard,&#8221; Stefanik said. &#8220;New York\u2019s Far Left Democrat leaders \u2062like Gov.\u200b Hochul are asleep at the wheel, instead of prioritizing their Far Left Wishlist, they \u200dshould \u200bbe putting an immediate stop\u200c to\u200c the\u2064 flow of cash for CCP access to\u200d the 12 New\u200c York school systems including\u200b the \u200cNew York Department of\u2064 Education.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Washington \u2063Examiner has reached out to Gov.
