However, they are allowed to use their attorneys as intermediaries\u2064 for communication.<\/p>\n<p>The defendants are also barred from engaging\u200d in any\u2064 acts that may intimidate co-defendants\u200b or witnesses, or obstruct the administration\u200c of justice.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump faces\u200b more detailed restrictions outlined in the order. \u200dHe is explicitly forbidden\u200d from \u2064making any \u200cdirect or indirect threats against co-defendants, victims,\u200b the community, or any property in the community.\u2062 This includes threats\u200c made on social media or reposting such <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-votes-on-major-security-upgrade-will-fine-members-5k-for-bypassing-metal-detectors\/\" title=\"House Votes On Major Security Upgrade, Will Fine Members K For Bypassing Metal Detectors\">threats made<\/a> \u200bby others.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/georgia-grand-jury-returns-indictment-in-trump-2020-case-5455188\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The indictment<\/a> filed \u200cagainst the defendants accuses them\u200d of participating in an\u200d allegedly unlawful \u2063and coordinated effort to \u200chelp President Trump remain in power after\u200b the\u200d 2020 election results\u2062 declared Joe Biden as the winner in Georgia and other contested \u2064states.<\/p>\n<p>While President Trump \u2063has \u200cconsistently claimed that\u200c the election was &#8220;rigged&#8221; or &#8220;stolen,&#8221; the indictment alleges that he and other\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-sets-trumps-georgia-bond-at-200000-restricts-communication\/\" title=\"Trump's Georgia bond set at 0,000, communication restricted by judge.\">defendants knowingly \u200dmade \u200cfalse\u2062 claims<\/a> of election fraud. However, the indictment does not provide \u200ddetails on how authorities plan to prove\u2064 this allegation.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Fani Willis had previously stated that the defendants could avoid arrest if they surrendered on the charges before August 25 \u200bat noon. It\u2063 is currently unclear whether the defendants appeared in person as requested.<\/p>\n<p>Judge McAfee has also \u200dimposed other standard \u2064conditions, including a prohibition on committing any\u200c local, state, or\u2064 federal crimes.
