min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delrin<\/strong>, an acetal homopolymer with higher tensile strength, is a\u2064 preferred substitute for metal parts and used in products ranging from gear wheels to insulin pens.<\/p>\n<p>DuPont is expected to receive cash proceeds of about $1.25 billion and a note of $350\u2063 million after the deal\u2019s close, which is \u2064expected around the end of\u2063 the year.<\/p>\n<p>It will also own a 19.9% non-controlling interest in the unit, which the company had been looking to divest since February last year.<\/p>\n<p>The deal marks another step\u200c towards \u200dCEO ED Breen\u2019s goal of \u200ddoubling down on DuPont\u2019s electronics and water solutions\u200d businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u200c has been tweaking its \u2063portfolio to focus on high-margin operations and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/duponts-5-2-billion-rogers-buyout-deal-held-up-by-chinese-regulator\/\" title=\"DuPont\u2019s .2 billion Rogers buyout deal held up by Chinese regulator\">fast-growing industries<\/a> such as electric vehicles, 5G \u2063and clean energy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s announcement largely completes our planned exit of the \u2063former M&#038;M (Mobility and Materials) segment, advancing our position as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dupont-to-sell-majority-stake-in-1-8-billion-delrin-resins-unit\/\" title=\"DuPont to offload majority stake in .8B Delrin resins unit.\">premier multi-industrial company<\/a>,\u201d DuPont\u2019s CEO Ed Breen said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The company sold\u2064 most\u2063 of its mobility and\u200d materials business \u200cto Celanese for $11\u2064 billion last year. <\/p>\n<p>However, it also suffered a setback last year as\u2063 Chinese regulatory hurdles forced it to scrap the $5.2 billion \u200c acquisition \u200bof engineering materials maker Rogers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, peers Univar Solutions and Chase Corp had been taken private by Apollo\u200c Global Management \u2064and KKR, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>  (Reporting by Sourasis Bose in Bengaluru;
