This is the modern, wildly leftist, pro-Democrat \u200d2023 version of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cnn-makes-whole-new-language-guide-neopronouns-nounself-pronouns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a> that has earned every letter of its derisive \u201cClinton News Network\u201d nickname.<\/p>\n<p>But even this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cnn-shakes-programming-slate-adds-two-new-prime-time-hosts-lineup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shambling husk<\/a> of CNN has enough\u2063 awareness and cognizance to recognize that things are\u2062 not trending in a good direction for\u2064 fellow\u2064 shambling husk President Joe Biden \u2014 especially in regards to former President \u200dDonald Trump nipping at his heels in the looming 2024 \u2062general election.<\/p>\n<p>In a Saturday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/19\/politics\/trump-polling-indictments-republican-primary-biden\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">analysis<\/a>, CNN\u2019s Harry Enten began the piece as you would expect any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rnc-chair-condemns-biden-abortion-policy\/\" title=\"RNC chair condemns Biden abortion policy\">left-leaning outlet<\/a> to: By vigorously reminding the \u200dreader\u2062 how awful Trump is.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cA plurality of\u200d Americans and independents think Donald Trump should have been charged with a \u2062crime in each of his four indictments, according \u200bto ABC News\/Ipsos polling,\u201d Enten wrote to begin\u2063 his piece. \u201cA majority of\u2062 Americans said in a new AP-NORC survey that they definitely won\u2019t vote for the former president in \u2063the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-says-he-plans-to-run-for-re-election-in-2024\/\" title=\"Joe Biden Says He Plans To Run For Re-Election In 2024\">2024 general election<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s when you can almost feel the air\u2064 come out of Enten\u2019s rhetoric.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cYet, Trump continues to hold a mammoth lead for the Republican presidential nomination\u200b and is polling \u2063within the margin of error of President Joe Biden in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-kemp-perdue-locked-in-tight-georgia-gop-primary-both-tied-with-stacey-abrams\/\" title=\"Poll: Kemp, Perdue Locked in Tight Georgia GOP Primary; Both Tied with Stacey Abrams\">hypothetical general election matchup<\/a>,\u201d Enten wrote.<\/p>\n<p>He explained: \u2062\u201cWhile \u200dparagraphs one and two seem contradictory, they\u2019re really not. Americans don\u2019t like\u2062 Trump, but Republicans do. And general elections aren\u2019t referendums on one candidate but \u2062a choice between two\u2062 or more \u2013 and Americans,\u200b as a whole, dislike both Trump and Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Whether it\u2019s Trump\u2019s popularity, Biden\u2019s\u2063 lack \u2064of popularity or some combination of both, it \u200bdoes seem like the former president is closing the gap with the incumbent president with each new spurious and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-indictment-pattern-continues-fourth-handed-hours-damning-hunter-biden-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weaponized charge<\/a> levied against him.<\/p>\n<p>That is assuredly the\u2062 opposite \u2063effect of what Democrats wanted, and \u200dclearly opposite of whatever it\u200c is that the establishment media expected.<\/p>\n<p>Just look at Enten\u2019s tone as he waves the white flag on Trump\u2019s popularity while speaking to CNN\u2019s\u2064 Jim Acosta on Saturday:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">CNN\u2019s Harry Enten: \u201cThe polling indicates that Trump is, in fact, in a stronger \u200bposition at this point \u2062than he was during the entire 2020 \u2062campaign\u2026If we had state level polling, I wouldn\u2019t even\u2062 be surprised if Trump were \u2062ahead in the swing states that are most important.\u201d \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fzTd3JYskv\">pic.twitter.com\/fzTd3JYskv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 MAGA War Room\u200c (@MAGAIncWarRoom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MAGAIncWarRoom\/status\/1693055111575036002?\">August 20, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe polling indicates that\u200b Trump is, in fact, in a stronger position at this point than he was during the\u200b entire 2020 campaign,\u201d Enten told Acosta.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Enten wrote on \u200dCNN: \u201cIf anything, Trump\u2019s position within his party has become stronger since the beginning of the year. A majority (54%) of Republicans have a \u2062strongly favorable opinion of\u200d him in Fox\u200d News polling released this week, which is up 11 points from \u200dthe end of last year. No\u200d other \u2064Republican candidate for president reaches even half\u2063 of Trump\u2019s current percentage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Look, \u200cyou couldn\u2019t throw a stone in CNN\u2019s corporate offices without hitting an \u2062anti-Trumper.<\/p>\n<p>Because of that, watching the network grapple with the fact that\u2063 Trump is only getting more popular as America barrels toward \u2063the 2024 general\u200c election has been incredible to watch.<\/p>\n<p>But for whatever schadenfreude one may derive from watching Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cnn-admits-the-truth-about-donald-trump-on-live-tv-and-its-bad-news-for-joe-biden\/\" title=\"CNN confirms damaging revelations about Joe Biden's campaign during live broadcast\">establishment media \u200ballies \u200clament<\/a> on-air that Trump is going \u200dto give their president the\u2064 fight of his\u2062 life, it\u2019s aggressively important that conservatives and\u200c Republicans don\u2019t rest on their laurels.<\/p>\n<p>Take note that Enten and CNN are \u2063fretting that Trump is polling competitively with Biden.\u200b Nobody is worried about Trump running away with the\u200b general election.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s \u200cgoing to be a bloodbath of a general election (the \u2062GOP\u200c primary appears to be all but over, although\u200b it\u2019s \u200bstill way too\u200b early to say one way or another at\u2062 the moment) and every vote will count.
