Brian Kemp signed the law in April \u20622022 saying \u2062that lawmakers have \u201cput students and parents\u2063 first by \u200dkeeping woke politics out of the classroom\u200b and off the ball fields,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/georgia-governor-signs-series-controversial-education-bills-law-rcna26524\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a> \u2064reported at \u200cthe\u200d time.<\/p>\n<p>The district superintendent,\u200b Chris \u2064Ragsdale, voted to fire\u200b the politically-motivated \u2062and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/lgbt-activist-organization-flooding-schools-cash-create-sexuality-clubs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LGBT-grooming<\/a> teacher, as did three other members of the seven<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pennsylvania-judge-reinstates-five-democrat-school-board-members-after-removal-over-mask-mandates\/\" title=\"Pennsylvania Judge Reinstates Five Democrat School Board Members After Removal over Mask Mandates\">-member school board<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps unsurprisingly, the school board\u2019s decision\u200b overrode a recommendation\u200c by\u200b three former teachers\u2062 that convened \u2064to \u200dhear the case ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/maryland-school-district-announces-policy-to-push-anti-racist-thinking-in-preschool-redefine-discrimination-and-racism\/\" title=\"Maryland School District Announces Policy to Push \u2018Anti-Racist Thinking\u2019 In Preschool, Redefine \u2018Discrimination\u2019 and \u2018Racism\u2019\">school board meeting<\/a>. Their decision was to\u200c allow Rinderle to keep her job.<\/p>\n<p>It isn\u2019t at\u200b all surprising that former teachers voted to let a teacher who clearly and purposefully violated \u200ca \u2062state law to remain in the classroom. Who would expect them to vote otherwise?<\/p>\n<p>Rinderle was confronted with charges of breaking the law in March when she read the radical gay-themed book, \u201cMy\u200c Shadow Is Purple,\u201d\u200d by Scott Stuart, in class, the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/georgia-teacher-fired-reading-book-gender-identity-64f8428af86ed47bea093fba5167506a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/school-furious-students-defy-pride-month-spirit-day-look-instead\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">teacher<\/a>, who had been at her job for 10 years, acted\u2064 the part of the left\u2019s loyal foot soldier by reading a book to \u200cher class that she knew was not appropriate for \u206210-year-old children. \u201cMy\u2062 Shadow Is Purple\u201d features a supposed \u2062\u201cnon-binary\u201d character\u200c that\u2063 challenges\u2062 gender norms \u200cand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/teacher-ignores-law-to-indoctrinate-kids-with-lgbt-book-gets-brutal-notice-from-states-board-of-education\/\" title=\"Teacher defies law, faces consequences for promoting LGBT book to students.\">pushes radical\u200c sexual identity politics<\/a> on kids.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, the leftist hate group, The Southern Poverty Law Center, was \u200baghast at the teacher\u2019s firing\u200c for pushing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/sexual-indoctrination-kids-full-display-9-year-olds-lead-pride-celebration-parents-no-idea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indoctrination of kids<\/a>. On \u200bThursday, the SPLC posted a statement from this\u200c politically-motivated teacher who bemoaned her firing and claimed\u2062 the book she was reading was merely \u201cinclusive and affirming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am disappointed in the district\u2019s decision to terminate\u2063 me\u200c for reading an inclusive and affirming book \u2014 one that is representative of\u2064 diverse student identities,\u201d \u2062Rinderle said in her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.splcenter.org\/presscenter\/statement-cobb-county-school-board-decision-uphold-termination-katherine-rinderle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe district is \u200csending a harmful message that\u200d not all students are worthy of affirmation in being their unapologetic and authentic selves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis\u200c decision, based on intentionally \u200cvague policies, will\u200c result in more teachers self-censoring in fear of not knowing where the invisible line will be drawn. \u200cCensorship perpetuates \u200bharm\u2062 and students \u2063deserve better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rinderle\u2019s attorney also claimed that the firing over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/view-hosts-lose-crackdown-lgbt-porn-suggest-sick-workaround-book-bans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gay book<\/a> is illegitimate.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Cobb County, \u2064Georgia\u2063 teacher Katie Rinderle\u2063 was just fired for reading a book about gender \u2062identity to\u2064 her 5th grade students back March.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an \u2064astonishing miscarriage of justice that it took so long and she \u2063wasn\u2019t fined nor\u2062 will she serve any \u200dprison time. After two\u200c days of trial, we still do not know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The teacher also claimed that she\u2064 gave her class\u2064 several book \u200boptions and they \u200dchose the gay-themed book,\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5atlanta.com\/news\/board-votes-to-fire-cobb-county-teacher-on-leave-over-childrens-book\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WAGA-TV<\/a> reported.
