He believed these documents were part of his legal adoption process, making him an official member of the Tuohy family. However, he emphasized the importance of proving that an individual is incapable\u200c of making certain decisions, stating that it should be a \u2064high \u2063bar to strip someone of their right to self-determination.<\/p>\n<h3>Britney Spears&#8217;s Battle<\/h3>\n<p>Britney Spears endured a 13-year conservatorship that began when she was just\u2064 26 years old. A \u2064judge placed her under the care of her father, \u200dJamie Spears, and an attorney. Her conservatorship encompassed both \u200cher finances and \u2063personal life, with her father overseeing her day-to-day activities and even controlling \u2064her place of \u200cresidence.<\/p>\n<p>The conservatorship was established \u200din 2008 following a series of controversial incidents involving the pop star, including shaving her head after the loss of an \u2063aunt and being placed under psychiatric holds.
