The \u2063state&#8217;s permissive laws on commercial surrogacy \u2062and in-vitro fertilization (IVF) have made it an\u2062 attractive destination for Chinese couples seeking these services.<\/p>\n<p>Surrogacy is completely banned in China, so Chinese couples turn to American fertility clinics\u200b to\u2063 create embryos with their biological makeup and have the baby in the United States. This is made possible \u200cby the birthright citizenship laws, which grant the child full\u2062 U.S. citizenship, regardless of their Chinese nationality.<\/p>\n<p>Emma Waters explained in an interview on Epoch TV\u2019s \u201cCrossroads\u201d program that when the child turns 21, even the parents can apply for a green card and eventually obtain citizenship,\u2062 which is a faster\u2063 and \u2063cheaper process compared to \u2064traditional methods.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Threat to National\u2064 Security<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Giving foreign\u2062 nationals \u200dfull access to American citizenship \u2064through the wombs \u2062of American women poses a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/serious-concerns-gop-leaders-demand-answers-over-russians-illegally-crossing-americas-southern-border\/\" title=\"\u2018Serious Concerns\u2019: GOP Leaders Demand Answers Over Russians Illegally Crossing America\u2019s Southern Border\">significant national security threat<\/a>, according to\u200c Ms. Waters.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasized\u200c that these children, who have been raised in China and are loyal to their homeland, are not flagged as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/japan-bans-new-entries-of-foreigners-after-virus-variant-arrives\/\" title=\"Japan bans new entries of foreigners after virus variant arrives\">foreign nationals<\/a> when \u200bthey come to the United States. (Sandy Huffaker\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Chinese nationals seeking \u2063fertility \u200cservices in the United States have \u200cthe option to create an embryo using their own sperm and egg or purchase a sperm or egg, explained \u2064Ms. Waters.<\/p>\n<p>While many Chinese couples travel to the United States, it is \u2062technically possible to create an\u2063 embryo without leaving China. They can work with a\u200b U.S.-based \u2063agency to \u2064send their reproductive material to an IVF lab and have it implanted in a hired surrogate in \u200cthe United States.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Waters\u2064 noted that there are numerous fertility clinics, particularly in California, with \u2062direct or indirect\u200c connections to China. These\u2064 clinics often offer Chinese language options\u200d and have doctors or\u200c administrators who have lived\u200d in\u200d China.<\/p>\n<p>She also mentioned that some fertility clinics have reported that up to \u206350 percent of their clients\u2063 in a given year are from China\u2063 alone.<\/p>\n<p>According to Business Wire,\u2063 the U.S. market for \u200bfertility clinic services \u200cwas estimated at \u200dnearly $8 billion in\u200b 2022 and is expected to more than double by the end of 2028.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Changing Essence of Childbearing<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Emma Waters explained that the way childbearing is viewed in the United States started changing \u200cafter the Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling in the Roe v. Wade \u2064case in 1973, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-ramps-up-abortion-agenda\/\" title=\"Biden Ramps Up Abortion Agenda\">legalized abortion nationwide<\/a>.
