J.D.\u2064 Vance Criticizes IRS for Failing Small Businesses<\/h2>\n<p>Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) \u200chas\u200b voiced\u2062 his criticism of the IRS for its failure to support small \u200dbusinesses with delayed tax credits that were promised \u200bto boost operations during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;You would think that an agency with\u200d an influx of new resources could process these forms and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-resettles-40k-afghans-across-american-communities-in-four-months\/\" title=\"Biden Resettles 40K Afghans Across American Communities in Four Months\">provide businesses<\/a> with long-overdue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">tax relief<\/a>,&#8221; Vance wrote in\u2064 the Wall Street Journal. &#8220;You would be wrong. Progress has been slow. Rather\u2064 than processing \u200dclaims\u200b and getting money out the door, the \u200cIRS discouraged taxpayers from claiming the credit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Vance specifically highlighted the slow rollout of \u2062the \u2063employee retention tax credit\u2063 (ERC), which was designed \u2063to help businesses keep employees on their payroll. However, the ERC has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/vance-slams-bolstered-irs-for-slow-walking-refunds-to-small-businesses\/\" title=\"Vance criticizes IRS for delaying refunds to small businesses.\">faced\u200c fraud controversies due<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-truth-was-totally-ignored-and-omitted-meghans-half-sister-challenges-her-claims\/\" title=\"\u2018The Truth Was Totally Ignored And Omitted\u2019: Meghan\u2019s Half-Sister Challenges Her Claims\">questionable claims<\/a>, posing a threat to businesses\u2064 in need of tax relief.<\/p>\n<p>Despite these challenges, Vance\u2062 commended the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), a \u200cSmall \u200cBusiness Administration-backed initiative that provided funds to support small businesses&#8217; payroll and benefits.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The program was popular and effective not only in the eyes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/late-night-restaurant-owners-want-to-play-fair-so-far-they-say-newsom-hasnt\/\" title=\"Late-night restaurant owners want to play fair. So far, they say, Newsom hasn't\">business owners<\/a> and lawmakers, but in \u200cthe \u200beyes of my fellow conservatives,&#8221; Vance said, acknowledging that it wasn&#8217;t without\u2062 flaws.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Vance also \u200bcriticized the IRS&#8217;s renovation movement, referring \u200dto the \u2063agency&#8217;s \u2062&#8221;Strategic Operating Plan&#8221;\u2063 launched in April. This plan outlined various initiatives aimed at achieving the IRS&#8217;s 10-year vision. \u200cWhile greater taxpayer customer service \u200chas been demanded for decades, Vance questioned the \u200beffectiveness of the plan and its \u200bability to address \u2064novel challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans and Democrats have differing views on how the allocated\u2064 $80 billion for the \u200dIRS should be\u200d utilized.
