White House counsel Stuart Delery is \u2064the latest official to flee \u200cthe increasingly \u200dwarm White House galley.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/08\/17\/us\/politics\/stuart-delery-white-house-counsel-steps-down.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>, \u2062Delery announced his resignation late Thursday, at a less than\u200d ideal moment as the West Wing prepares \u2063for the final stretch before next year&#8217;s election.<\/p>\n<p>Delery \u200dhad expressed his intention to\u2062 leave a few months ago, after nearly three years in the \u2064White House. The counsel&#8217;s office has been\u200d at the forefront of the White House&#8217;s response to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-nominates-new-irs-chief-as-the-agency-prepares-to-double-in-size\/\" title=\"Biden Nominates New IRS Chief As The Agency Prepares To Double In Size\">numerous congressional investigations<\/a> since \u200cRepublicans took\u200c over the House in January.<\/p>\n<h3>President Biden&#8217;s Statement<\/h3>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2023\/08\/17\/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-white-house-counsel-stuart-delery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>, President Biden praised Delery&#8217;s \u200dcontributions \u2062to his administration, highlighting his\u2062 work on COVID-19 response, vaccine distribution, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-loses-top-staffer-as-gop-probes-ramps-up-could-he-not-take-it-anymore\/\" title=\"Biden loses key staffer amid GOP probes - Did he reach his limit?\">major legislative accomplishments<\/a> such \u2063as the American Rescue Plan \u200dand the\u200c Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.<\/p>\n<p>Delery&#8217;s departure comes a year after another White House counsel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/matt-gaetz-suggests-democrats-attempting-take-biden-explains\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dana Remus<\/a>, left the administration.\u2062 The loss\u200c of two successive White House counsels in just over a year, along with other staff\u200d departures, raises questions about the mounting problems at 1600 Pennsylvania\u200d Ave.<\/p>\n<h3>Mounting Problems and Staff Turnover<\/h3>\n<p>One of \u2063the major sources of heat in the White\u2064 House kitchen \u2063is Hunter Biden&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-law-professor-hunter-biden-court-debacle-a-case-of-the-doj-being-hoisted-on-its-own-petard-in-bid-to-hold-off-congress\/\" title=\"Law professor: Hunter Biden court issue is DOJ's own problem in trying to delay Congress.\">overseas business \u2062dealings<\/a>. Recent developments have revealed that President Biden \u200dmay have known more about these\u2063 dealings \u2064than initially disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-federal-prosecutor-reveals-doj-is-violating-its-own-policies-with-hunter-biden-plea-deal\/\" title=\"Ex-Federal Prosecutor Exposes DOJ's Breach of Policies in Hunter Biden Plea Deal.\">plea deal reached<\/a> between prosecutors and \u200dHunter&#8217;s\u200c attorneys was invalidated by a Delaware judge, leading to the appointment of a\u200d special counsel. Former Hunter\u2062 Biden business partner Devon Archer testified that then-Vice President Biden participated in numerous calls with their\u200b business partners, including executives from \u2062Ukrainian energy firm Burisma.<\/p>\n<p>The timing \u200bof Delery&#8217;s departure coincided with a request from House Oversight Committee Chairman \u2063James Comer for unredacted communications between then-Vice President Biden and Hunter.
