The Same Can\u2019t Be Said For China\">live action remake<\/a><\/a>, stating that it has the potential to &#8220;destroy&#8221;\u2062 the legacy of\u2064 the film.<\/p>\n<p>David Hand, who shares the same name \u200das his father, the director of the 1937 animated classic, spoke out against\u200b the \u2063remake. His comments come in\u200d response \u200dto\u200b lead actress Rachel Zegler&#8217;s criticism \u2063of the \u200doriginal animation,\u200c calling it \u200c&#8221;extremely dated&#8221; and\u2062 claiming that the new \u200bversion of Snow White will not rely on the\u200b prince to save her. Zegler also accused Snow White of falling in love with\u200b &#8220;a guy \u200dwho\u200d literally \u2063stalks \u200bher.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Leaked photos from\u2062 the set have also\u2062 revealed changes to the seven dwarfs, who are now being portrayed as \u2063&#8221;magical\u2062 creatures&#8221; in an effort to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/disney-responds-to-dinklages-criticism-of-snow-white-remake\/\" title=\"Disney Responds To Dinklage\u2019s Criticism Of Snow White Remake\">avoid reinforcing stereotypes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2063 an interview with \u200bThe Telegraph, Hand, who worked as a designer for Disney in the 1990s, expressed his disappointment with the updates, stating that both his father and Walt Disney would be &#8220;turning in their graves&#8221; over the &#8220;insulting&#8221; changes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I mean, it&#8217;s a whole different concept, and I just totally disagree with it, and I know my dad and Walt would\u2063 also very much disagree with it,&#8221; Hand said. &#8220;I think it&#8217;s pathetic that people \u2063feel that way&#8230; these are art forms in the world of film \u200dtoday.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hand\u200d further criticized Disney for rewriting classic stories and altering the thought processes of the\u200d characters. He believes that the \u2062studio should focus on\u2062 creating new films instead of remaking\u200d the classics.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s no\u2064 respect for\u200c what Disney did and what my \u2063dad did&#8230; I think Walt and \u200che\u200d would be \u200bturning in their graves,&#8221; \u200bHand added.<\/p>\n<p>The backlash against Disney&#8217;s remake is \u200cnot unique to \u2063Hand, as many \u2064other critics have expressed similar concerns.
