Lindsey Graham warned that former \u200cHouse Intelligence Committee Chairman\u200c Adam\u2062 Schiff could be \u200bgoing \u2063to \u200cthe slammer for a \u200cmillennium.<\/p>\n<p>Hyperbole, sure \u2062\u2014 \u200dbut for those\u2063 who\u2062 remember the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/durham-tears-shiff-shreds-subtle-line-references-congressmans-past\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California Democrat\u2019s \u200drelentless self-promotion<\/a> as\u2062 he \u2062pushed the Trump-Russia hoax, it throws the absolute \u200cridiculousness of the Trump charges into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/maintaining-americas-nuclear-deterrent\/\" title=\"Maintaining America\u2019s Nuclear Deterrent\">sharp relief<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At issue is the fact that the indictment \u2063handed up this week didn\u2019t just accuse Trump of a\u200d crime over claims he asked Georgia \u2062Secretary of State\u2064 Brad \u200dRaffensperger to \u201cfind\u201d enough election\u200d fraud to close the narrow lead opponent Joe Biden \u200cenjoyed after the ballots were \u200binitially counted\u2064 in \u200bNovember 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the \u200bformer president and 18 are charged on wider grounds of daring to challenge the results\u2064 in the first place \u2014 and some of the\u200b conduct prosecutors claim is illegal borders\u200b on the absurd.<\/p>\n<p>As \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2023\/08\/15\/trumps-tweets-used-against-him-georgia-indictment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The \u2062Washington Post<\/a> noted, the\u200c prosecution is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gutfeld-snaps-five-co-host-suggests-trump-deserves-charges-brought\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">using \u2063Trump\u2019s tweets<\/a> as evidence that \u2064he\u2019s guilty of racketeering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI spoke to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger yesterday about Fulton County and \u2064voter fraud in \u2064Georgia,\u201d read one such tweet,\u2064 written on Jan. 3, 2021. \u201cHe was unwilling, or unable, to answer questions such as\u2062 the \u2018ballots under table\u2019 scam, ballot destruction, out of \u2064state \u2018voters\u2019, dead voters, and more. He has no clue!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In another supposedly damning tweet, \u2064Trump \u200bencouraged people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/georgia-indictment-says-trump-telling-people-watch-tv-proof-racketeering-activity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>to watch TV<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome of\u2064 the tweets\u200b were less aggressive. The indictment pointed \u2063to a Dec. 3,\u200d 2020, tweet in which\u200d Trump \u2064wrote \u2063\u2018Georgia hearings now on @OANN. \u2063Amazing!\u2019 which was\u2062 described as\u2064 \u2018an overt act in furtherance\u200d of the conspiracy,&#8217;\u201d\u200d the Post\u200c reported.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Georgia hearings now on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OANN?\">@OANN<\/a>. then-President Trump was a Kremlin stooge when he knew darn well \u200dTrump\u200c wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Abrams, \u2062meanwhile,\u200b continued \u200bto peddle the\u2064 fiction that she won the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election all the way up until she became\u2062 the Democratic\u2064 nominee for the 2022 \u200dGeorgia gubernatorial \u200celection.
