If\u2062 Trump becomes our nominee, millions\u2062 of \u200bAmericans will vote for him no matter what happens in court. They might see voting \u2062for him as necessary to send the message that this kind of persecution cannot be tolerated, \u2064but the record speaks for \u200citself: Trump in no way <em>deserves <\/em>a second \u200cterm. <\/p>\n<h2>Remembering the Covid Era<\/h2>\n<p>Most of us are trying to move on from the Covid era and allow those traumatic\u200c memories to slip into the blurry past, but if we truly want to safeguard our freedoms \u2064and our republic, it\u2019s \u2063critical\u2063 we remember what really happened\u2063 in 2020. President Trump played a key role in allowing us \u200dto be stripped of our freedoms and, through championing Operation Warp Speed, to be\u2064 later subjected to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/over-quarter-million-us-troops-face-discharge-over-vaccines\/\" title=\"Over Quarter Million US Troops Face Discharge Over Vaccines\">draconian vaccine mandates<\/a> during the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1090992717\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b7688928d76fbdacf5a6b50f8b968014 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b7688928d76fbdacf5a6b50f8b968014\"><\/div>\n<h3>The Role of \u2064Trump in Lockdowns<\/h3>\n<p>On March 16, 2020, Trump gave a press\u2063 conference with Anthony Fauci and White House Covid Coordinator Deborah Birx\u2063 that precipitated a cascade of supposedly state-led \u2063lockdowns. \u201cMy \u2063administration\u200d is recommending that all \u200dAmericans, including\u200d the young and healthy, work to engage in schooling from home when possible, \u200bavoid gathering\u200c in groups of more than 10 people,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>Then\u200c Anthony \u2064Fauci read the <em>fine print <\/em>on the <a href=\"https:\/\/brownstone.org\/articles\/the-day-anthony-fauci-wrecked-american-freedom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two-page flyer \u200dof\u2064 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance<\/a> handed out at the conference and available online to every American. That \u2064fine print, which\u200d Trump may \u2063or may\u200b not have read (either way, it was his responsibility), prompted almost all states to lock down: closing businesses, churches, \u200bschools, denying social \u2063contact for seniors in long-term living, \u200dcanceling weddings and funerals, \u200cand giving critical \u200bcover to inhumane hospital policies that forced people to die alone.<\/p>\n<p>This set of\u2063 \u201crecommendations\u201d\u2064 was the perfect system of political CYA \u2014 one which Trump should have seen coming: The states could blame the CDC for demanding lockdowns, and the CDC could deny they ever \u201cmandated\u201d\u200b any lockdowns and claim it was purely \u200cthe states\u2019 decision. Showing the potency of the CDC\u2019s \u200clockdown guidelines, Fauci, as the Trump administration\u2019s key media spokesman on Covid \u2063at the time, admitted that a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/snorman1776\/status\/1689666875314032645\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">national stay-at-home order<\/a>\u201d is \u201cessentially what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Trump&#8217;s Actions and Consequences<\/h3>\n<p>Fauci,\u2062 Birx, and the CDC\u2063 supported months more restrictions on basic liberties, long after Trump had changed \u200dhis mind and demanded that\u2064 America reopen. In June of \u200c2020,\u200c he\u200b was\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1275438921552257026\">bragging<\/a> about what a great job he\u2019d done on Covid while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">nursing home residents<\/a> were \u200dstill suffering\u200c in isolation, a third of small businesses across the nation had already been shuttered, and children as young as\u2064 2 were being forced to wear masks in the summer heat \u2014 masks Trump\u2019s CDC demanded Americans wear. He also flip-flopped on <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/virus-outbreak-health-lifestyle-politics-donald-trump-16bdd4841b5dcd2c6d1ff4a79fbd61cf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reopening schools<\/a> the \u200bfollowing month, saying some may need to delay reopening,\u200d despite \u200dCovid not posing a substantial threat to children.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-934a42f5161f685b861c5f9cc4a16675 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-934a42f5161f685b861c5f9cc4a16675\"><\/div>\n<p>Trump himself \u2062made \u2063extended lockdowns possible \u2063by \u200dsigning the CARES Act, which \u200cdoled out \u2062$300 billion in \u2063paychecks for sitting \u2064at home and paid far\u200c more to businesses <em>not <\/em>to operate but keep employees on the books. Without\u2062 CARES funds, the state could not afford to keep the country locked down. They would have had no choice but to begrudge people their basic rights to work, consume, and travel. Now, the profligate spending of the federal government during Trump and Biden\u2019s terms has contributed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-doesnt-deserve-a-second-term-for-how-he-mismanaged-covid\/\" title=\"Trump's Covid mismanagement disqualifies him for a second term.\">inflation-straining family budgets today<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>CARES also granted $400 million to\u200c encourage a Covid-conscious 2020 election via mail-in voting, leading to\u200c a number of\u2064 problems with \u200belection security and\u2063 integrity. \u200dHis administration also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/snorman1776\/status\/1686870013301370881\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">shut down the \u2062cruise industry<\/a> and severely curtailed international tourism after Covid was already known \u2062to be widespread within the states.<\/p>\n<h3>The Impact of Trump&#8217;s Covid \u2063Shots<\/h3>\n<p>To his credit, Trump did change his \u2064mind. On May\u200c 18, he tweeted\u2062 \u201cREOPEN OUR\u2064 COUNTRY.\u201d (It appears it was\u2064 then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrumparchive.com\/?searchbox=%22Reopen%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deleted<\/a>.) He would later stand on \u200ca White House balcony and <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/519731-trump-removes-mask-upon-arrival-at-white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">remove his facemask<\/a> after returning from treatment for Covid. But it was too little too late, and\u200c this machine \u200bof panic and oppression he set in motion could no longer be controlled.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s \u200bmore, once the first \u2064Covid shots \u2063became available, Trump, who had already been infected\u2064 and recovered<em>, <\/em>chose to take them. His contribution to the serious\u200b misinformation campaign against the protection of natural immunity can\u2019t be understated. \u2064Millions \u2063of \u200bpeople who had \u200b <em>already had Covid <\/em>followed his \u2063lead\u2063 and got the\u200c jab, which\u2063 proved to be the least safe, least effective modern vaccine ever \u2064to be mass-injected.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-69f3bc0a5341089a81465c7d44f4372f fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-69f3bc0a5341089a81465c7d44f4372f\"><\/div>\n<p>Of the three\u200c vaccines Trump\u2019s government authorized, one, the Janssen shot, \u2062was quickly discouraged from use due to \u2062risk of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yalemedicine.org\/news\/coronavirus-vaccine-blood-clots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dangerous blood clotting<\/a>. The other two, from Moderna and\u2063 Pfizer\/BioNTech, began showing evidence of causing\u2063 myocarditis just months after launch \u2014 and this was only <em>one<\/em> \u200b kind of adverse event that the government\u200b would \u200dadmit \u2064was causally related to the vaccines. Many more adverse \u2063effects are hotly disputed today,\u2064 but the government\u2019s surveillance system, VAERS, \u200dhas taken in a record-shattering number of adverse-event reports \u200dfor Covid shots compared\u200b to other vaccines.\u00a0Though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4632204\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VAERS<\/a> reports are unverified, the largest \u200cpercentages of reports are typically \u200csubmitted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/celebrate-the-truth-politifact-announces-festival-of-fact-checking-with-special-guests-anthony-fauci-and-cnns-brian-stelter\/\" title=\"\u2018Celebrate The Truth!\u2019 PolitiFact Announces \u2018Festival Of Fact-Checking,\u2019 With Special Guests Anthony Fauci and CNN\u2019s Brian Stelter\">health care professionals<\/a> (38 \u200bpercent) \u200band vaccine \u200cmanufacturers (30\u2064 percent).\u200c The system exists to generate \u201csafety signal\u200b detection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Excess mortality in 2021, the \u2063year of \u200dmass vaccination \u2062with the products Trump\u200c championed, was even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmortality.com\/excess-mortality\/yearly-percentage-cumulative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">greater<\/a> \u2062than in 2020. If the jabs, \u200cwhich <a href=\"https:\/\/covid.cdc.gov\/covid-data-tracker\/#vaccinations_vacc-total-admin-rate-total\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nearly everyone<\/a> deemed \u201cvulnerable\u201d took early that\u2064 year, \u201csaved millions of lives,\u201d as Trump has claimed,\u2064 how can this staggering rise in mortality be\u200c explained? \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/drugoverdose\/deaths\/index.html\">Overdose deaths<\/a> increased\u2063 by 31 percent, \u200ba tragedy \u200cinseparable from lockdown fallout, yet only accountable for a small\u200b portion \u200dof the \u2063approximately 443,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmortality.com\/deaths\/excess-yearly-cumulative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deaths<\/a> over the expected number. Even <a href=\"https:\/\/ourworldindata.org\/explorers\/coronavirus-data-explorer?zoomToSelection=true&#038;time=2020-03-01..latest&#038;facet=none&#038;country=~USA&#038;pickerSort=asc&#038;pickerMetric=location&#038;Metric=Confirmed+deaths&#038;Interval=7-day+rolling+average&#038;Relative+to+Population=true&#038;Color+by+test+positivity=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deaths<\/a> coded as \u201cCovid\u201d were at or above 2020 \u200blevels through most of 2021. Trump was simply wrong, and\u200d the fallout from the Covid shots he \u2064was so proud for the government to produce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nih.gov\/news-events\/news-releases\/nih-clinical-trial-investigational-vaccine-covid-19-begins\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hand-in-glove<\/a> with corporations with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/justice-department-announces-largest-health-care-fraud-settlement-its-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spotty<\/a> \u200c track records and non-existent ones \u200c(Spikevax was Moderna\u2019s first commercially available product) is still being \u2063felt.<\/p>\n<h3>The Consequences of Operation Warp Speed<\/h3>\n<p>The injections\u2019 speedy FDA authorization, which happened on Trump\u2019s\u200c watch, and the promotion by members of his\u200b administration as \u201csafe and effective\u201d later paved the way for strict mandates \u200dby employers, including \u200ccity and state governments \u2062and the \u2063U.S. military. The Biden administration\u2019s attempt to force as many Americans as possible to take the experimental products wouldn\u2019t have been possible had Trump not greenlighted \u200cOperation Warp Speed.<\/p>\n<h3>Trump&#8217;s Failure to Exercise Control<\/h3>\n<p>Trump\u2019s biggest indictment is that what control he\u2063 did \u200bhave, even\u200c after dissenting from Fauci and Birx,\u200d he refused to exercise. Defenders say moves like firing Fauci, Birx, and extreme mask-promoter Redfield wouldn\u2019t have meant much because the mass hysteria\u200b had already set in. But it would have meant everything to \u2064people hurt by Covid policies; it \u200cwould have \u2064shown prudence, conviction, and a willingness to learn from\u2064 his errors. He deserves to be\u200c commended for hiring Dr. Scott Atlas, who promoted reopening schools. But he\u2064 also kept key Covid panic-pushers on \u2062board \u2062until he left office, and indeed said he <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1275438930276409344\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">didn\u2019t get enough credit<\/a> for Fauci\u2019s \u200cwork on Covid.<\/p>\n<p>For those of us who are willing to remember Trump\u2019s\u200b actions during 2020, pleas \u200bthat Trump \u201cwanted to reopen the country\u201d ring hollow. We went through \u200cthe Covid nightmare because Trump\u2064 led us into it, empowering tyrants at all\u200b levels of\u2063 government to strip us of our liberties. He has not apologized, and said \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaxNordau\/status\/1648061363539922967\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">we did the right thing<\/a>.\u201d He took an\u2062 oath to protect and defend \u200cthe Constitution of the \u200dUnited States, and he broke \u2064it. Any Democrat put in the White House is sure \u2064to oppress the people to \u2062an even greater extent,\u200b but primary voters must\u2062 take Trump\u2019s\u2064 pivotal mistakes during Covid into \u2063account, no matter their feelings \u2063on the indictments\u2062 or the\u2064 2020\u2062 election.
