It was not reported whether \u200dpassengers were \u200dreimbursed for the\u2064 delay.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cAll the necessary protocols were followed during the flight\u2063 to safeguard the life of \u200cthe<br \/>affected pilot. Unfortunately,\u2063 after landing and receiving further medical assistance, the pilot<br \/>passed away,\u201d the airline told the press. \u201cLATAM Group is deeply saddened by this event and takes this opportunity to express our most sincere condolences to the family of our employee.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Federal Aviation \u2062Administration (FAA) loosened\u2063 its\u200c medical certification guidelines for pilots with heart block, also \u200dknown as AV block, in October 2022. They claim that this decision was based on\u200c recommendations from the FAA\u2019s cardiology consultants.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThe \u2062FAA\u2019s updated criteria for widening the ECG parameters regarding AV Block are\u2063 reasonable and \u200dconsistent with ACC\u200b guideline recommendations,\u201d said\u200c Dr. Richard Kovacs, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/canadian-court-invalidates-covid-lockdowns-due-to-illegal-implementation\/\" title=\"Canadian court declares Covid lockdowns illegal due to improper implementation.\">chief \u2063medical officer<\/a> at the American College of Cardiology. \u201cFor reference, in healthy athletes a PR interval <400 msec is considered normal.
