Ron DeSantis<\/strong> of Florida, long perceived\u200b as former President Donald Trump&#8217;s most formidable challenger, fell to third place.<\/p>\n<p>The poll\u200d of 229 \u200dlikely voters showed Trump at \u206460 percent, \u200bRamaswamy at 13 percent, and DeSantis\u200c at 8\u200b percent. All other <a title=\"Donald Trump indicted: Poll shows DeSantis losing significant 2024 support since charges\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-indicted-poll-shows-desantis-losing-significant-2024-support-since-charges\/\">candidates polled<\/a> at 5 percent or less.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Political Polls tweeted the results of this latest poll and noted in parentheses each candidate&#8217;s gains or\u2064 losses since RMG\u200c Research&#8217;s most <a title=\"The Continuous Media COVID Fear Mongering May BACKFIRE and Diminish Democrat Voter Turnout\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-continuous-media-covid-fear-mongering-may-backfire-and-diminish-democrat-voter-turnout\/\">recent poll<\/a>,\u200c conducted on Aug. 7-8. It might \u2064seem odd, therefore, to analyze\u200b his polling results in conjunction with\u2064 Ramaswamy&#8217;s. But\u2062 the analysis yields compelling insights, for it \u200cquantifies the Republican electorate&#8217;s present \u2064mood.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, a grand jury in \u200dFulton County, Georgia, handed up the latest\u2063 sham <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-trump-indicted-ga-11-criminal-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indictment<\/a> of the former president. RMG Research conducted this new poll before Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis announced\u200d the indictment.<\/p>\n<p>Republican voters, however, have\u2063 had plenty of \u2062time to observe the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-indictment-pattern-continues-fourth-handed-hours-damning-hunter-biden-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pattern<\/a> of persecution against Trump. They also\u200d have had time\u200c to notice that \u200damong GOP presidential candidates only <strong>Ramaswamy<\/strong> has leapt\u200c to Trump&#8217;s \u200ddefense.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Ramaswamy has positioned himself as a younger and even \u2063more \u200bTrumpian\u200c version of Trump, at least on substance.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, under &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vivek2024.com\/america-first-2-0\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Policy Vision<\/a>&#8221; on Ramaswamy&#8217;s official website, one finds the heading &#8220;America First 2.0.&#8221; On this same page,\u200c the surging candidate presents &#8220;25 Policy \u2062Commitments to Take America First further than \u200dTrump.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In this same context, it is worth\u2062 noting\u2062 that \u200bTrump and Ramaswamy\u200b have gained a\u2062 combined\u2062 13 points in the RMG Research poll since June. According to the Daily Signal, on June 21-22 Trump polled at 57 percent and Ramaswamy at\u2064 only 3\u2063 percent.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis, on\u2063 the other hand, appears to have paid the price for \u200bhis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desantis-finally-answers-question-avoiding-years-2020-election-stolen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tepid remarks<\/a> on the ongoing persecution of Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, we must advance such conclusions with caution.
