While numerous GOP \u2064lawmakers \u2062offered their support through tweets \u200cand\u200d statements, Harrington said Team Trump wants more action.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re on vacation now until September,\u201d said Harrington.\u2063 \u201cSo all \u2064we\u2019re going \u2064to get are sternly worded tweets. I\u2019m sorry. That\u2019s not good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Florida\u200d Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and Tennessee \u2063Rep.\u2064 Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) have each introduced \u200dseparate\u2062 bills to deny federal \u200cfunding\u200b for \u2062Special Counsel Jack Smith,\u200d but neither has \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-time-for-words-is-over-trump-spox-liz-harrington-calls-on-house-gop-to-defund-special-counsel-jack-smith\/\" title=\"Trump spokesperson Liz Harrington urges House GOP to defund Special Counsel Jack Smith, declaring that the time for words is over.\">gained \u2062significant traction<\/a>. Gaetz\u2019s legislation, introduced two days following Trump\u2019s announcement he received a target letter\u200d from\u200b Smith,\u2064 would halt Smith from spending\u200c federal funds. Ogles\u2019 bill would\u2063 strip Smith of a \u200cfederal salary. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201c[Democrats are] trying to\u2062 take away\u2063 the American people\u2019s \u200dchoice \u2063of who \u200dthey want for \u200dpresident,\u201d said Harrington.\u200b \u201cThat is a direct threat to our Constitutional Republic. It cannot stand,\u2063 and \u2063they \u200bneed to \u2062act. The time for words is over.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Harrington \u2064called for Republicans to\u200c step up to the plate and respond definitively.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump\u2063 has called the Republicans\u200b out,\u201d Harrington \u2062said. \u201cThey do have some power in Washington. They need to use it for holding this corruption \u2064accountable, because it\u2019s one thing\u200c to expose \u2063the interference that happened in 2016 and Russiagate in 2020 \u200cwith the laptop\u200b and everything else. But the interference is going on right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Other \u2063Trump allies\u200c have expressed frustration at the lack \u2063of \u2062action from House Republicans. Mike \u200dDavis, a Trump ally and \u2064founder of the Article \u2064III Project, \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/video\/oan-contribution\/davis-gop-must-use-subpoena-power-to-investigate\/\">told One\u2062 America News<\/a> it was time\u200d for\u2064 House leadership\u200b to wield \u200bits subpoena power.<\/p>\n<p>The Fulton\u2062 County indictment comes less than three \u200dweeks after \u200da\u2064 federal \u200bgrand \u2064jury in Washington, D.C. \u2062indicted\u2064 Trump in \u2064relation to \u200calleged events \u2062leading\u200c up to\u200d January 6<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Harrington says\u200d the timing of the similar cases begs for questions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cYou have\u2063 two of these\u2064 brought at the same time,\u201d \u2063Harrington\u2063 said. \u201cOne to interfere with Iowa and the kickoff of primary [elections] and the other to\u2064 interfere with Super Tuesday. That reeks of coordination, collusion, and\u2062 corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This alleged collusion\u200b only heightens the need for action, according to Harrington.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump\u2019s been very clear,\u201d \u2063Harrington \u200bexplained. \u200d\u201cIf \u200cthey do not act, he will join any \u2062America \u2064First primary challenger that\u2062 enters into the ring against\u2064 these Republicans. And they will win.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Harrington emphasized that Republicans cannot be content to post on X, formally known as Twitter, while Trump faces constant legal attacks.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThe time for talk has long since passed,\u201d Harrington said. \u201cWe have to save this country.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Stay informed!
