Tanden,\u2064 former president of the left-wing \u200bCenter\u2064 for American Progress, was put forth by the newly minted president as his\u200c nominee to head the Office of \u2062Management \u2062and Budget.<\/p>\n<p>Then,\u2063 people starting looking at her old \u200ctweets. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-omb-nominee-bad-even-bernie-sanders-blasting-vicious-attacks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">She called<\/a> Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell \u201cVoldemort\u201d in one \u200dof them. When \u200cRupert Murdoch\u2019s house caught\u200b fire in 2017,\u2062 she tweeted, \u201cThere\u2019s \u2063a God. \u200cAnd she\u2019s unhappy.\u201d She also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2021\/02\/25\/neera-tanden-tweets-471564\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> that\u2063 \u201ca vampire has more heart\u200b than Ted Cruz.\u201d You know, \u2063fun stuff like that.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Senator Bernie Sanders\u2062 confronts Biden\u2019s OMB nominee \u2062Neera Tanden for her \u201cvicious attacks\u201d against Democrats and Republicans<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XU9MDcJwrV\">https:\/\/t.co\/XU9MDcJwrV<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OBnKWxKqQz\">pic.twitter.com\/OBnKWxKqQz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research\u2064 (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1359531070383935490?\">February 10, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Tanden\u2064 was forced to withdraw after \u2062it\u2062 became clear she didn\u2019t \u200dhave the support necessary to clear the nomination \u200dprocess. However, she never\u200b really went away, \u2062working as\u2062 an adviser and staff secretary in\u200d the Biden administration until she was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/dpc\/about-the-director-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appointed director<\/a> of the of the United \u200cStates Domestic Policy Council \u200cin May, replacing the outgoing\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/susan-rice-conducts-smokey-new-age-smudging-ritual-heart-white-house-expel-trumps-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Susan Rice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>On Wednesday, Tanden appeared at \u2062a White House media briefing and managed \u2062to provide an object lesson in how we\u200c dodged a\u200b bullet thanks\u200c to her\u200b mean tweets \u2014 as \u2063well \u2062as providing a salient argument that director of the United States Domestic Policy Council should also\u200d require\u2062 Senate approval.<\/h3>\n<p>Tanden was there to talk about the benefits of the inaptly named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-truth-inflation-reduction-act-slip-wish-hadnt-called\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inflation Reduction Act<\/a>, which was\u2063 basically \u2063an environmentalist \u200dgiveaway with a profoundly misleading name.<\/p>\n<p>In between the green energy subsidies it helped pay for, however, there were a few crumbs of the largesse, which could \u200ctechnically be construed as inflation-fighting, particularly in healthcare subsidies \u2014 which Tanden\u2063 was trotted out \u2062to\u200b talk up on\u200b Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom\u200d day one, President Biden and\u200c the Biden-Harris\u200d administration have been \u2064focused on lowering healthcare \u2064costs for all Americans \u200dbecause we know healthcare costs can \u2064be a huge economic stress for\u2063 families,\u201d she claimed, according \u2062to a White House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/press-briefings\/2023\/08\/16\/press-briefing-by-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-fema-administrator-criswell-senior-advisor-for-clean-energy-innovation-podesta-and-domestic-policy-advisor-tanden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transcript<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why the Inflation Reduction Act lowers these costs \u2014 these care \u200bcosts for \u2064millions of Americans. It\u2019s already doing\u2064 so. Fifteen \u2062million\u2064 people are continuing to save $800 \u2063a year on \u200ctheir health\u2063 insurance premiums. Seniors are already seeing lifesaving benefits of this law: $35 out-of \u2063\u2014 $35 out-of-pocket\u2064 cap on insulin; free recommended vaccines, like shingles and tetanus; lower out-of-pocket coinsurance for certain drugs that raised prices faster than inflation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well, that\u2019s just dandy\u200b \u2014 \u200dbut it\u2019s\u2062 not as if Americans can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dick-morris-biden-likes-open-borders-high-gas-prices-inflation-unemployment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fill \u2062their gas \u2064tanks<\/a> with \u200dinsulin \u2062or put tetanus shots on the dinner table, something \u200ca \u200breporter confronted her about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou talk \u2062about the \u2014 the insulin costs being reduced and\u2062 the caps for seniors. \u200dAnd\u200d all that\u2019s great\u200c for\u2063 people who do this regularly,\u201d the reporter said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut for most people, you know, it\u2019s grocery stores and\u2064 gas stations. Those are the places where they\u2019re spending \u2064money out\u200d of pocket\u2064 most regularly.\u200d What do you say to them? \u200dI mean, other than just \u2018Hang \u2064tight, it\u2019s getting better.\u2019 Because there doesn\u2019t seem\u2062 to \u200bbe anything \u200din \u2014 in the bill \u2014 in the legislation that addresses that specifically.\u2063 Is that right?<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a preemptory TL;DR\u2062 recap of Tanden\u2019s answer: \u201cUm, insulin.\u200b And stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI will say \u200cthat \u2063of the \u2014 of the stresses on families every day, healthcare costs are one of their \u2064paramount concerns. And we \u2062know that pharmaceutical costs, drug costs are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-biden-adviser-gives-wh-press-front-row-tickets-to-how-incompetent-joes-administration-is\/\" title=\"Biden Adviser Exposes Incompetence of Administration to WH Press\">driving healthcare costs\u200c \u2014 driving healthcare costs<\/a> up,\u201d Tanden said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I\u2019d say prescription drug costs are very\u200d resonant with the \u200bAmerican people, and that \u2062is why\u2062 prescription \u2062drug costs a \u2014 addressing prescri- \u2014 \u200baddressing prescription \u200cdrugs and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-do-americans-know-about-the-build-back-better-act\/\" title=\"What Do Americans Know About The Build Back Better Act?\">lowering prescription drug costs<\/a> is a key \u2063part of the Inflation Reduction Act.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe president has fought very hard for \u200bthese \u2063provisions. Many \u2063have \u2064tried\u2064 and \u200dfailed, and he succeeded\u2064 in \u2064getting the Congress, \u200bfor the first time, \u2064to \u2062ensure that we have Medicare drug negotiation,\u201d \u2064she continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese\u200b prices are\u2063 a big component of what \u200dpeople are experiencing every day in terms \u200cof high costs. And \u2014 and we can see from public polling why there is such a great demand. And despite pharma\u2019s attacks over the course of a year, this \u2064kind \u2014 the past Congress actually passed this legislation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perfect \u200canswer.\u200c Ten out of 10. \u2062Great work. Now, excuse me as I drive my insulin-powered Honda to \u2062the local \u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/california-walgreens-resorts-chaining-freezers-thieves-repeatedly-raid-pizza-ice-cream-sections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walgreens<\/a>, so I can pick up\u200b the ingredients to make tonight\u2019s dinner, MMR vaccine au\u200c gratin.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s interesting \u2062that somebody who is at no loss for\u200b words when she\u2019s engaging in \u2062incendiary troll-posting after Rupert Murdoch\u2019s house catches on fire somehow \u2064turns into a deer in rhetorical headlights after being asked about something that, you know, is part of her \u2062job.<\/p>\n<p>But then, it\u2019s almost hard to \u200bblame her. This is how incompetent the White\u2064 House she works \u2063for is. All Tanden did was\u200c give the \u2064media \u2063a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-non-fungible-tokens-and-blockchain-are-changing-the-art-and-music-worlds\/\" title=\"How Non-Fungible Tokens And Blockchain Are Changing The Art And Music Worlds\">front-row seat<\/a>\u200d to the \u2064madness.<\/p>\n<p>After\u200c all, the \u2063Biden \u2063administration has\u2062 never been able to come \u200cup a reasonable spin on the upward spiral in the cost of living.\u2062 First <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-biden-outright-admits-lost-control-economy-isnt-certain-prices-headed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">it\u200c was transitory<\/a>. Then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-tells-americans-will-pay-high-gas-prices-long-takes-defeat-putin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">it \u2064was Putin\u2019s fault<\/a>. The current\u2064 line is that, even though \u2064inflation is still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/inflation-rises-months-decline-new-bureau-labor-statistics-report-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">well above healthy \u200blevels<\/a>, it\u2019s not like the nearly double-digit numbers we were putting up in 2022 \u2014 so\u2062 Bidenomics \u2062is winning! Hooray!<\/p>\n<p>However, at least these excuses were actual\u2063 excuses. Tanden didn\u2019t even bother providing <em>that<\/em>. \u200cA reporter noted that, while insulin-price caps may \u200calleviate pressure for\u200c certain Americans, gas and grocery prices affect <em>every<\/em> American. He then asked if she could speak to that. Her \u2062response,\u2064 distilled:\u200c \u201cUm, uh, aren\u2019t\u2063 those insulin-price\u2064 caps grand?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nice\u200c try, Neera.
