One\u2064 in Florida involves allegations of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-director-calls-legit-criticism-of-corrupt-fbi-violence-but-we-werent-born-yesterday-2\/\" title=\"FBI Director Calls Legit Criticism Of Corrupt FBI \u2018Violence,\u2019 But We Weren\u2019t Born Yesterday\">mishandling classified documents<\/a> at his Mar-a-Lago resort, while the other in Washington relates to his \u200cattempts to challenge the results of \u200dthe 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Mr. Trump is facing two state cases. In New York, he has \u2063been indicted for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-the-charges-brought-against-the-trump-organizations-cfo-part-of-a-witch-hunt-experts-weigh-in\/\" title=\"Are The Charges Brought Against The Trump Organization\u2019s CFO Part Of A Witch Hunt? Experts Weigh In\">falsifying business records<\/a>, and in Fulton County, Georgia, he and 18 co-defendants were recently indicted \u2062in connection\u2064 with his efforts to dispute the state\u2019s 2020 \u2064election results.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think people \u200bfacing the cameras with \u2062glee, promising to \u2018get Donald \u2063Trump\u2019 as part \u200bof their election pitch as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-did-best-they-could-with-cocaine-probe-despite-no-suspects-john-kirby\/\" title=\"White House's Cocaine Probe: No Suspects, But 'Best Efforts' Made\">law enforcement\u2062 officers<\/a>, as district attorneys \u2064and whatnot\u2014I think he \u2064has a lot of runway that will allow him to make that argument,\u201d Ms. Conway said.<\/p>\n<p>With a total of 91 criminal charges across the four indictments, Mr.\u2064 Trump \u200bis the first president in U.S. history to be impeached twice and charged criminally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a very sad moment for the country.\u2062 We are in \u2063uncharted waters,\u201d Ms. Conway continued. \u201cI think\u200d that this will \u2063be litigated \u2062at the ballot box.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width:600px\" class=\"alignnone\"><figcaption>Former president Donald Trump enters Erie Insurance Arena \u200bfor a political rally while campaigning for the GOP \u2062nomination in \u2062the 2024 election, \u200din Erie, Pa., on July 29, 2023. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) told Fox News on Aug. 16 that the indictment\u200b in Georgia\u2064 illustrates \u201ca two-tiered system of justice\u201d in\u2062 the United \u2063States, where individuals are being prosecuted for acting\u200d \u201cin any way\u200b that\u2019s contrary to the party in\u200d power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, it looks\u2062 as if we\u2019re going to\u2062 be \u2063spending more time focused on \u2064courtrooms than we are going to be focused on actual Presidential debates going forward,\u201d the senator added. \u201cIt\u2019s a \u2064sad day for America when we find ourselves in this situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Conway, a former 2016 campaign manager to Mr. Trump, said there is a \u2062reason why the former president is leading in the polls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will tell\u2064 you that part \u200bof why President Trump is way \u200cahead of \u200bmany different Republican aspirants for the presidential nomination is people see\u200b him as a fighter, and they see him as a winner, and\u2064 they \u200csee him, a \u2064little\u200b bit, as a victim,\u201d\u200c she said.<\/p>\n<p>According to a new poll from Quinnipiac\u200b University, \u2064which \u2063was \u200cconducted between Aug. 10 and Aug. 14, Mr. Trump received 57 percent of support in the GOP primary field, holding a\u2063 commanding lead \u2063over his \u200dclosest rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who picked up 18 percent of support.<\/p>\n<p>Vivek Ramaswamy finished in third with 5\u2064 percent of support,\u2062 followed \u2064by \u200cformer vice president \u2064Mike Pence with 4 percent of support.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/majority-of-voters-concerned-about-joe-bidens-mental-and-physical-health-poll\/\" title=\"Poll shows majority of voters worried about Joe Biden's mental and physical well-being.\">hypothetical general election match-<\/a>up, 47 percent of respondents said they \u2062would support\u200b President Joe Biden, while 46 percent would support Mr. Trump, according to the poll.<\/p>\n<p>As of\u200b Aug. 16, Mr. Trump is leading\u200c Mr.\u200d DeSantis\u200b by 39.8 percentage\u2064 points, according to a RealClearPolitics&#8217; Republican presidential primary average of all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/analysis-the-left-is-shocked-about-what-these-hispanic-poll-numbers-say-about-biden-2024\/\" title=\"ANALYSIS: The Left Is Shocked About What These Hispanic Poll Numbers Say About Biden 2024\">recent polling data<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fulton\u200d County District \u200dAttorney Fani Willis has proposed \u2064a March\u200b 4, 2024, trial \u200ddate for\u200b Mr. Trump \u2063and his co-defendants.
