And they don&#8217;t \u2062really \u2064care if whether all these\u2062 charges will\u200b be \u200bthrown out on appeal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Premature Posting \u2062of Criminal Charges<\/h2>\n<p>In the \u2064Georgia case, a\u200c list of criminal charges against President \u200bTrump was published on the court&#8217;s website hours\u200d before the grand jury actually\u2063 handed up the indictment \u200cto the judge.<\/p>\n<p>District\u2063 Attorney Fani Willis shrugged the\u2063 premature \u2063posting as a mere mishap by the clerk of the\u200c court system, but \u2062the Trump legal team claimed this reflects &#8220;the pervasive \u2064and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-grand-jury-investigating-donald-trump-returns-10-indictments-but-no-names-yet\/\" title=\"Georgia grand jury indicts Donald Trump 10 times, identities undisclosed.\">glaring constitutional violations<\/a> which have plagued this case from its very inception.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;The\u2063 events that have\u2062 unfolded today have been shocking and \u2062absurd,\u2063 starting \u2064with the leak \u200cof a presumed and premature\u200c indictment before the witnesses had testified or the grand jurors had deliberated\u2062 and \u2062ending \u200bwith the District Attorney being unable \u200dto offer\u2062 any explanation,&#8221; President Trump&#8217;s lawyers said in \u200ca statement after\u200b the indictment was released.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In light of this major fumble, the Fulton County District Attorney&#8217;s \u2063Office\u2064 clearly decided to\u2062 force through and rush this 98-page indictment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When asked about this incident, Mr. Hanson\u2063 said there appears to be a pattern of anti-Trump prosecutors violating legal protocols.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve \u2064seen that with Merrick Garland,&#8221; he said, pointing to the\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mexico-publishes-heavily-edited-probe-of-exonerated-general\/\" title=\"Mexico Publishes Heavily Edited Probe of Exonerated General\">attorney general&#8217;<\/a>s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/garlands-special-counsel-appointment-may-violate-law-requiring-impartiality-somebody-outside-of-government-rep-pete-sessions-5460436\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appointment<\/a> of Delaware \u2063District\u2063 Attorney \u200bDavid Weiss as special counsel \u200bto probe the Biden family&#8217;s financial dealings in disregard of the\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/cfr\/text\/28\/600.3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">federal \u2062rule<\/a> limiting the choice to someone &#8220;outside the U.S.\u200c government.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Department \u2062of Justice\u2062 regulation says that he&#8217;s\u200b supposed to search for an independent counsel outside of government. He just ignored that \u200dand violated his\u2063 own \u2062internal rules or guideline,&#8221; the historian continued.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And then we saw Alvin Bragg, who really \u2062took a misdemeanor and conflated it\u2064 into a felony campaign violation. Nobody had ever heard\u200c of doing\u2063 that before.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia case is also setting a precedent that\u200d it is considered conspiratorial for a candidate to object to the ballot count or consult \u200dcampaign lawyers on that matter because\u200c otherwise, the lawyers would be at risk of being disbarred.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But yet \u200dthat&#8217;s \u200bwhat [Democrats] do all the time,&#8221;\u2063 Mr. \u200bHanson said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They all tried to subvert the normal ballot,\u200b and they\u2064 changed ballot laws. They changed it so that addresses and names didn&#8217;t have to\u2064 be accurate. They extended the deadline way after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-real-clear-politics-say-they-never-called-pennsylvania\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Real Clear Politics -- SAY THEY NEVER CALLED PENNSYLVANIA\">election night<\/a>, [and] \u2063that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/victor-davis-hanson-on-trump-indictments-coordinated-effort-to-destroy-him-as-a-candidate\/\" title=\"Victor Davis Hanson: Trump Indictments Aimed at Crushing His Candidacy\">rendered election night irrelevant<\/a>. (Joe Raedle\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>&#8216;Blank \u200dCheck&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>A part of the reason Democrats pursue these precedents \u200dis a sense of moral \u2064superiority, according to Mr. Hanson.\u200b &#8220;They had declared themselves more intelligent and\u200b more superior in a moral and ethical sense than\u200b their opponents,&#8221; he told\u2064 Mr. Jekielek.\u200b &#8220;Then that gave them a \u200bblank check.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Some leading journalists at legacy media have also taken this route \u2064of breaking away with protocols in favor of anti-Trump activism, Mr. Hanson noted.<\/p>\n<p>For example, in 2016, New York Times columnist\u2063 James Rutenberg suggested that\u2062 journalists\u200c should feel no\u200c need\u200c to treat the \u2064Trump candidacy by &#8220;normal standards.&#8221; \u2064He was echoed by \u2062CNN&#8217;s \u200bChristiane Amanpour, who told journalists that \u200cthey \u200bcan&#8217;t remain neutral when it comes\u2062 to topics like \u2063President \u200cTrump and global warming. Jorge Ramos of Univision also argued that there can \u2063be no such thing as neutral reporting on President Trump and his border and immigration\u200c policies.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8216;We have to \u200bbe \u2063partisan,&#8217; they said that \u200dopenly. All three\u2062 of them \u2062did,&#8221; Mr. \u2063Hanson said. &#8220;That was a new journalism that\u2063 that Donald Trump was sui generis,\u200b and\u2063 he\u2064 represented an existential threat. (Tasos Katopodis\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This anti-Trump coalition, according to \u2064Mr. Hanson, is relying on the premise\u2063 that there \u200cwon&#8217;t\u200c be a Republican president or Republican-controlled Congress \u2062that will do to them what they&#8217;re doing \u2062to undermine the nation&#8217;s top Republican.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They don&#8217;t think that a Donald\u2064 Trump or\u2062 a Ron\u200c DeSantis\u2062 would ever be elected; and that if \u200cthey were, they \u2063would never appoint a conservative version of Merrick Garland; and\u200c that if they did \u2064have a Merrick Garland, they would never get a special prosecutor who would go after them; and that they would never end \u2064up in a jury in Utah or West Virginia or Wyoming,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They don&#8217;t think that anybody would do \u2062that to them. He warned that if Democrats continue down this path, future Republican presidents could face similar prosecutions, setting a dangerous precedent for the country.
