It followed a 1.5% rise in the previous month.<\/p>\n<p>Separate data \u200dby the\u200b Cabinet Office showed a key gauge of capital expenditures rose in June. However, manufacturers are braced for core orders to slide during \u2064the current quarter, \u2063partly due to the impact from weak offshore demand.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the batch of data \u2064underscored fragility in Japan&#8217;s export engine that helped \u200dunderpin second quarter domestic\u200d product (GDP) growth, with car shipments \u200band inbound tourism the biggest drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Japanese \u2063policymakers are counting on exports to \u2063shore up the \u200cworld&#8217;s No. 3 economy and \u2064pick\u2062 up \u2064the slack in private consumption that has suffered due\u2062 to broader price hikes.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u200bthe\u2062 spectre of a sharper global slowdown and faltering growth\u200b in its major market China have raised concerns about\u200b the outlook.<\/p>\n<p>The concerns about global growth was \u2064underscored by \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/japan-exports-fall-for-first-time-since-2021-stoking-concerns-about-outlook\/\" title=\"Japan's exports decline, raising concerns about future prospects.\">separate\u200c data earlier showing persistent \u200bdeclines<\/a> \u200din Singapore&#8217;s exports, seen as a \u200cgauge \u2063of \u200coverseas\u200b demand as \u200dtrade flows dwarf the\u2063 city-state&#8217;s economy. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;China remains weak\u2062 and I don&#8217;t \u200dsee demand from Europe and \u2062America to accelerate further,&#8221; said \u200bTakeshi\u200c Minami, chief\u2064 economist at Norinchukin Research\u2062 institute,\u2062 adding\u200b that Japan&#8217;s economy\u200c may suffer a downturn in\u200d the current quarter.<\/p>\n<p>By destination, exports to China, Japan&#8217;s \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mexico-wants-to-participate-in-restoring-supply-chain-for-chips-critical-goods-in-north-america\/\" title=\"Mexico Wants to Participate in Restoring Supply Chain for Chips, Critical Goods in North America\">largest trading partner<\/a>, fell 13.4% year-on-year\u2062 in July, due \u200cto\u2063 drops in shipments of cars, stainless steel and IC chips, following a \u200c10.9% decline in June.<\/p>\n<p>U.S.-bound shipments, \u2062Japan&#8217;s key ally, \u2062rose 13.5% year-on-year last month to \u2062log the \u200clargest \u2062in value on record,\u2062 led \u2062by shipments of electric vehicles and\u2063 car parts, following a 11.7% \u2063rise in the previous month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gloomy Outlook to Keep BOJ on Hold<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Bank of Japan must be aware of downside risks \u2062from\u2064 the global economy.
