However, reports suggest that the gun has been rebuilt and subjected to a new forensic examination, which determined that it could only have been fired by someone\u200c pulling the trigger.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>The study explained the\u2063 situation as follows: \u201cThe fatal incident was the consequence of the hammer being manually retracted to its fully rearward and\u200c cocked position followed, \u200dat some point, by the pull \u2064or rearward depression\u2062 of the trigger.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While \u200dBaldwin has consistently denied pulling the trigger, \u200dthe new study claims that \u201cthe trigger \u200bhad to be pulled or depressed sufficiently\u200c to release the fully cocked\u2064 or retracted hammer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Variety, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/experts-find-alec-baldwin-did-pull-trigger-in-rust-shooting-could-still-face-charges\/\" title=\"Alec Baldwin found responsible for 'Rust' shooting, may face charges.\">prosecutors previously stated<\/a> that they would refile charges against Baldwin if it was discovered that the gun was in its normal working condition. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u200c the case against <em>Rust <\/em>armorer Hanna Gutierrez-Reed, who \u2062has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering, is still proceeding and will go to trial in December of this year.<\/p>\n<p>Hutchins\u2019 10-year-old \u200bson Andros and her husband Matthew were both devastated by the unexpected death.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI am not \u2063going to be\u2063 able to comment about the facts or the \u2063process of what we\u2019re going through right now, but I appreciate that everyone\u2063 has been very sympathetic,\u201d the victim\u2019s husband said. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Matthew\u2064 Hutchins became an associate at the law firm Latham &#038; Watkins \u2064in March 2021.\u2062 Latham &#038;\u200c Watkins has offices in cities like Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., and the firm most notably represented the 2016\u2064 Clinton political\u200b campaign and the Clinton Foundation in numerous\u2064 litigations.<\/p>\n<p>The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/BL-LB-6452\">reported \u200con September 10<sup>th<\/sup>, 2008<\/a>,\u2063 that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-report-shows-baldwin-pulled-trigger-could-be-charged-again-in-rust-shooting\/\" title=\"Baldwin's involvement in 'Rust' shooting confirmed, potential for additional charges.\">high-powered law firm<\/a> is the Department of Justice\u2019s \u201chome \u200baway from home,\u201d implying that a \u2063number of attorneys affiliated with the firm, both past\u2062 and present, have close ties with DOJ officials. <\/p>\n<p>It is unclear whether the surviving Hutchins \u200cstill works for the firm.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" data-placeholder-image=\"https:\/\/c3.oann.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/complianz-gdpr\/assets\/images\/placeholders\/twitter-minimal.jpg\" class=\"cmplz-placeholder-element twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Here\u200b is the statement from Rust Productions, Joel Souza\u2064 and Baldwin as well as Matthew \u2064Hutchins. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xvOrRcB5BB\">pic.twitter.com\/xvOrRcB5BB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Anousha (@anoushasakoui) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/anoushasakoui\/status\/1577672939947761664?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October \u200d5, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script type=\"text\/plain\" data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" async data-cmplz-src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Stay \u200binformed!
