The film&#8217;s distributor shares this information on\u200c the film&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.angel.com\/freedom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The film \u200dsheds light on the very real problem of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/border-crisis-strikes-montana-3-illegal-aliens-busted-human-trafficking-prostitution-sting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">human trafficking<\/a>, particularly the\u2064 sex trafficking\u2064 of children. However, the director clarifies that\u2062 some of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sound-of-freedom-investors-get-massive-payout-after-film-strikes-gold-at-the-box-office\/\" title=\"'Sound of Freedom' Investors Strike Gold with Massive Box Office Payout\">conspiracy theory-related themes<\/a> associated with \u200d&#8221;Sound of \u2064Freedom&#8221; are not actually present in the \u2063film.<\/p>\n<p>Director Alejandro Monteverde expressed\u2062 his disappointment in\u200d the connections made\u2063 between \u200dthe film and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-poll-shatters-lefts-qanon-narrative-4-trump-supporters-believe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Q Anon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/youtube-suspends-demonetizes-one-america-news-network\/\" title=\"YouTube Suspends, Demonetizes One America News Network\">conspiracy theories<\/a><\/a>. He emphasized \u200bthat the\u200d film does not contain\u2064 any conspiracy theories \u200bor related\u2062 symbols.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re telling me that there are all these conspiracy theories in the film, terminologies, that I\u2019ll see symbols of pizza and\u200d the names Q\u200d or Z, or whatever \u2014 \u200dno. There\u2019s\u200b none of that,\u201d Monteverde told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/movies\/story\/2023-08-14\/sound-of-freedom-movie-director-alejandro-monteverde-box-office-controversy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Los Angeles Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Monteverde also shared \u200chis \u200cadmiration for lead actor Jim Caviezel, who plays\u200b a crucial role in the film. Caviezel&#8217;s passion for the subject matter and personal connection to it made him the perfect fit for the part.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhen I was casting, I\u200d was looking for someone very passionate about the subject matter. It\u2019s like if you do a\u2062 movie about global warming, you don\u2019t \u200bwant the actor who shows up in a Hummer. You look \u2062for\u200c the actor that cleans\u200d up plastics\u200b on the beach,&#8221; Monteverde said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I first had dinner with Jim, I saw how close to his heart was this thing,\u201d he added.\u2063 \u201cHe himself adopted three of \u200chis children from China. I don\u2019t want to talk about his private \u2063life, but this\u2064 theme was very close. His conviction to want to shine a light on this was so deep that he got emotional.
