Ron DeSantis \u200b(R-FL) after the governor flew dozens of immigrants \u200cto \u2064Sacramento earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>State Assemblymember Evan \u200cLow, \u2063representing Silicon Valley, proposed a\u2064 resolution on Tuesday calling for a federal investigation and &#8220;accountability&#8221; for DeSantis&#8217;s use of the state\u2019s program to \u2062fly immigrants to so-called sanctuary jurisdictions \u201cunder false pretenses.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAll morally conscious Americans should be\u200b concerned\u2062 that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his agents \u2013 using Florida tax dollars \u2013 illegally\u2064 trafficked vulnerable migrants across state\u2062 lines,\u201d Low said in a press statement introducing the resolution.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Low\u2019s Assembly concurrent\u200d resolution 113 states that the \u201cLegislature urges the United States Department of Justice\u2062 to investigate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for Florida\u2019s Unauthorized Alien Transport Program; and be it further.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTo lie and deceive human beings just trying to survive and support their families\u2062 in order \u200cto transport them unknowingly to California for the purpose of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/if-democrats-really-cared-about-gun-laws-they-would-pull-the-prosecutorial-trigger-on-hunter\/\" title=\"If Dems truly cared about gun laws, they'd prosecute Hunter.\">scoring cheap political points<\/a> is unconscionable,\u200b and these \u200cinhumane and illegal actions should be swiftly investigated and prosecuted to \u2064the fullest \u2063extent of the law,\u201d\u2064 Low said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>DeSantis has used the program to \u200ctransport dozens of \u2062immigrants to Martha\u2019s Vineyard, Massachusetts, and California,\u2062 which prompted state leaders to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-democrat-requests-criminal-investigation-into-desantis-immigrant-flights\/\" title=\"CA Democrat seeks criminal probe into DeSantis' immigrant flights.\">urge multiple federal investigations<\/a> into the effort. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) called for an investigation \u2063in June after 36 Venezuelan and Colombian immigrants were dropped \u200doff in Sacramento from two planes, calling the Florida governor a \u201csmall, pathetic man\u201d on X, formerly known as Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Months\u200c later, the Cape and Islands\u2063 District\u200c Attorney Robert Galibois called on the Department of Justice to launch an investigation into last year\u2019s transportation of 49 immigrants sent to Martha\u2019s Vineyard.<\/p>\n<p>California Attorney General \u2063Rob Bonta in June requested documents related to the migrant flights from Florida \u200dofficials as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/students-and-staff-will-not-be-returning-to-robb-elementary-campus-uvalde-school-district-letter\/\" title=\"\u2018Students And Staff Will Not Be Returning To Robb Elementary Campus\u2019: Uvalde School District Letter\">ongoing law enforcement investigation<\/a>, emphasizing \u2062the importance of transparency to DeSantis\u2019s office and the Florida Division of Emergency Management in\u2064 separate letters.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis called the California investigation \u2063\u201cabsurd\u201d in July on Fox Business, noting California is a \u200csanctuary state and provides \u201cbenefits for illegal aliens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u2062 new resolution\u200c is being referred to the \u2062appropriate committee or multiple committees in the State Assembly for further action, Low\u2019s communications \u200cdirector told the Washington Examiner.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cInnocent people should not be used as \u2064pawns by immoral, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/unconscionable-gop-colleagues-sound-off-on-rep-huffman-for-threatening-tax-exempt-status-of-catholic-church\/\" title=\"\u2018Unconscionable\u2019: GOP Colleagues Sound Off On Rep.
