That\u2019s what we\u2019re having here. And \u200cit\u2019s\u2064 such an undercutting of our Constitution. I predicted this all in &#8216;Get Trump,&#8217;\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I predict there\u2019ll be some convictions. I think \u200dthe strategy is to get bad convictions, but to get \u200bthem fast in New York, in Florida, in Washington, \u200dand in \u200dFulton County, then they\u2019ll be reversed on appeal, but they\u2019ll be reversed on appeal \u200cafter the election,\u201d Mr. Dershowitz said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why everybody\u2019s rushing to get \u200cthese cases tried.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The \u2063latest indictment\u2014former President\u200b Trump&#8217;s fourth\u2014took place this week, on Aug. 14, in Fulton County, Georgia. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrat-official-who-pulled-knife-on-trump-supporters-indicted-on-weapons-charges-media-tries-to-frame-him-as-victim\/\" title=\"Democrat Official Who Pulled Knife On Trump Supporters Indicted On Weapons Charges; Media Tries To Frame Him As Victim\">grand jury<\/a> case prosecuted\u2063 by District Attorney Fani\u2064 Willis returned 13 counts\u2062 against \u200dformer President Trump and 41 counts total \u2064against him and 18 other conspirators. All were charged with racketeering.<\/p>\n<p>An error on Monday was\u200b perhaps the\u200c most obvious \u2063sign so far that these four convictions have been a sham, according to Mr. Dershowitz.<\/p>\n<p>While the \u200dgrand jury was still hearing witness testimonies, the clerk&#8217;s office had filed online a two-page document showing\u200c 13 charges\u2062 against President Trump, which was later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/georgia-posts-then-removes-racketeering-other-charges-against-trump-5464291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">removed without explanation<\/a>. \u200dThose 13 charges later exactly matched the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/all-nypd-officers-ordered-to-patrol-in-uniform-following-trump-indictment\/\" title=\"All NYPD Officers Ordered to Patrol in Uniform Following Trump Indictment\">actual charges<\/a> against President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Willis refused \u200bto comment on the document during a press \u2063conference and \u200cdid not respond to additional requests \u2062for comment from The Epoch Times. The clerk&#8217;s office,\u2062 which generally would\u2064 not have insider information \u200bfrom the\u200b prosecution during a grand jury trial, issued a statement that it was a &#8220;fictitious document&#8221; \u200band should not\u200c be &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-attorneys-tear-into-fulton-county-das-office-this-was-not-a-simple-administrative-mistake\/\" title=\"Trump lawyers criticize Fulton County DA's office: 'Not just an innocent error'\">considered official filings<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The fact that\u2062 they were willing to put the indictment on \u200cthe website before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dershowitz-predicts-bad-and-fast-convictions-for-trump\/\" title=\"Dershowitz foresees swift and unjust convictions for Trump.\">grand jurors voted proved<\/a> something that any of us who have had experience in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-announces-new-legal-team-for-impeachment-defense-after-previous-team-collapsed\/\" title=\"Trump Announces New Legal Team For Impeachment Defense After Previous Team Collapsed\">criminal law<\/a> know\u2014the grand jury is meaningless,&#8221; Mr.\u2063 Dershowitz said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There are 23 or whatever number it is, chairs that\u200c the prosecution moves around. If\u2064 the prosecutor wants\u2064 an indictment, she gets an indictment. So nobody should say, \u2018Oh, my\u2064 God. \u200cA grand jury, 23 people looked at the evidence and they said\u2062 there \u2062was enough to indict!\u2019&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ignore it. \u2062It\u2019s nonsense. The \u200dgrand jury didn\u2019t decide anything. \u200cThey \u200brubber\u200c stamped something that the prosecutor put \u2064before \u2064them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And \u200cthe best evidence is the \u2062prosecutor was so confident she was willing to \u200bput it on her \u200cwebsite even before the vote took place,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Dershowitz explained that speed is paramount to\u200c the \u2063strategy of\u2062 former \u2062President Trump&#8217;s opponents.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We now know \u200dthat they want it tried within six months in Georgia. They want a trial in January in Washington, D.C. They want a trial in May in Florida. And New York has been willing to put it off, but they\u2019re going \u200cto get on the bandwagon\u2062 too,&#8221; he \u200dsaid. &#8220;The whole \u2018Get Trump\u2019 approach is to \u2064get him before\u2062 the election,\u2062 convict him before the\u200b election. \u2063Then he \u2063wins on appeal? All right.
