Thus, neither\u200b proposed agreement entered into effect.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty \u2064to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-hunter-biden-lawyer-predicts-hell-be-free-without-conditions\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden's lawyer predicts his release without any conditions.\">tax crime charges<\/a> last month after a federal judge <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/justice-department-agrees-to-grant-hunter-biden-broad-legal-immunity-in-new-plea-agreement\/\">rejected<\/a> a <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/hunter-biden-felony-gun-charge-tax-charges\/\">plea deal<\/a> that would\u200b have \u200dallowed\u2063 him to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/grassley-plea-deal-ignores-significant-body-of-evidence-of-hunter-bidens-other-criminal-schemes\/\" title=\"Grassley: Plea Deal Disregards Hunter Biden's Other Crimes\">avoid prison time<\/a>. He \u2064is accused of failing to pay taxes on millions of\u2064 dollars from overseas dealings.<\/p>\n<p>If the deal had been accepted, \u200cHunter Biden\u200d would have pleaded guilty to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/presidents-son-gets-sweetheart-deal-from-feds-on-gun-tax-charges\/\" title=\"President\u2019s Son Gets Sweetheart Deal From Feds on Gun, Tax Charges\">misdemeanor tax crimes<\/a> and\u2062 received immunity on a broad range of criminal charges. However, \u200cfederal judge Maryellen Noreika <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/justice-department-agrees-to-grant-hunter-biden-broad-legal-immunity-in-new-plea-agreement\/\">expressed\u2064 concerns<\/a> \u2062 about the extensive \u2064immunity that would have been granted to the first son. She\u200d instructed prosecutors and Biden&#8217;s legal team to \u2064create a new agreement, \u2063stating that the original deal\u2063 was &#8220;not standard&#8221; and\u2064 &#8220;different from \u2063what I normally see.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In their\u200d own filing on Sunday, Hunter \u2062Biden&#8217;s lawyers \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/hunter-biden-says-prosecutors-reneged-on-plea-deal-d7a4cb1d\">claimed<\/a> that the \u2064DOJ had chosen to &#8220;renege on \u2063the previously agreed-upon plea agreement&#8221; and argued that the prosecutors should\u200c be\u2062 held accountable for \u2062the \u2062deal.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200blawyers also\u2064 argued that \u200ca portion of the\u2062 agreement, which involved Biden entering \u200ca\u2062 diversion program for gun \u2062offenders, should still be upheld. Originally, prosecutors\u2064 had\u200b agreed\u200b that Biden would not face a gun\u2064 possession charge \u200bif he stayed away from drugs \u2064and agreed to never purchase a gun again.<\/p>\n<p>The government&#8217;s \u2063filing clarified that neither \u2062portion \u2064of \u2064the\u200c plea agreement had been agreed\u200b upon.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The two \u200bproposed agreements were drafts that either party could propose\u200b changes \u200dto,&#8221; the \u2064filing stated. &#8220;And both parties did so following \u200dthe hearing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Justice rejected Hunter Biden&#8217;s legal team&#8217;s claim that their plea deal was still valid.
