Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on January 2, 2021, citing a phone call where the former president reportedly tried to pressure the state official to\u2062 find \u206411,780 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Meadows denied\u2062 any wrongdoing in assisting\u2064 Trump&#8217;s efforts to challenge the election results.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Nothing Mr.\u200d Meadows is alleged in the indictment to have done is criminal per se: arranging Oval \u200cOffice meetings, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mark-meadows-requests-removal-of-georgia-election-case-from-fulton-county-court\/\" title=\"Mark Meadows seeks transfer of Georgia election case from Fulton County court.\">contacting state officials<\/a> on\u200b the President&#8217;s behalf, visiting a state government building, and setting up \u200ba phone call for the President,&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The \u2063filing argues that the indictment &#8220;is precisely the kind of state interference in a federal official&#8217;s duties that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/wex\/supremacy_clause\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supremacy\u2064 Clause<\/a> of the U.S. Constitution prohibits,&#8221;
