(Photo by Anna Moneymaker\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>OAN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/tag\/james-meyers\">James Meyers<\/a><br \/>5:37 PM \u2013 Tuesday, August 15, 2023<\/h2>\n<p>California Senator Dianne Feinstein is suing the trustees of her late husband\u2019s estate, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senator-feinstein-sues-trustees-in-husbands-estate-citing-financial-elder-abuse\/\" title=\"Senator Feinstein files lawsuit against trustees in husband's estate, alleging financial elder abuse.\">alleging elder financial abuse<\/a>. <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat\u2063 filed \u200ca lawsuit\u200b on August \u20628<sup>th<\/sup>, accusing the co-trustees of \u201cwrongfully withholding distributions to which Trust\u200b entitles her in bad faith \u200dand diverting assets that they should have used to fund.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Feinstein\u2019s (D-Calif.) husband, Richard Blum \u200bdied in February of 2022. He had a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/silicon-valley-mega-investor-leaving-metas-board-for-gop-politics-report\/\" title=\"Silicon Valley Mega Investor Leaving Meta\u2019s Board For GOP Politics: Report\">net worth estimated<\/a> to be close \u200dto one billion dollars. Blum\u2062 was the former president of the equity investment management fund \u2018Blum Capital.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the 90-year-old Senator\u2063 asked for the power of attorney to be given to her daughter, Katherine Feinstein. She allegedly \u2064pushed for her mother to file the lawsuit \u2062on her behalf.<\/p>\n<p>The suit was filed against three co-trustees of the estate, Michael \u2064Klein, Verett Mims and Marc Scholvinck. Furthermore, the lawsuit stated the three trustees \u201cfunded gifts to Blum\u2019s daughters or forgiven their indebtedness\u201d without giving Feinstein the\u200d proper \u200bnotice.<\/p>\n<p>However, Steven Braccini, a lawyer representing the trustees, said Feinstein\u2019s daughter is to blame.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThe trustees\u2062 have acted ethically and appropriately at all times; the same cannot \u200dbe said for Katherine\u2062 Feinstein,\u201d he stated. \u201cThis \u200dfiling is unconscionable.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Per\u2064 court filings, in March, the Democrat was told \u200bher late husband\u2019s estate \u2063was lacking liquidity, causing her not to collect funds.<\/p>\n<p>The Senator has also filed two separate lawsuits dating back to June and July, claiming she does not have access to\u2063 Blum\u2019s trust.<\/p>\n<p>Feinstein was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/newsroom\/dianne-feinstein-recovers-after-hospital-trip-for-minor-fall-at-ca-residence\/\">hospitalized<\/a> earlier\u200b this\u200c year and has announced she will not\u2062 run for\u2064 re-election in 2024.
