These \u2063include a meeting with Michigan \u2064state legislators in the White House on Nov. \u206320, 2020, during which President Trump\u2063 made false statements \u2064about fraud in the November \u200c3, 2020, presidential election in Michigan. It also mentions \u200ba text sent by Mr. Meadows to Rep. Scott Perry (R-Penn.)\u200c the next day, requesting contact \u200dinformation for state legislators.<\/p>\n<p>The text read, &#8220;Can you\u2064 send me\u200c the \u2063number for the speaker and \u200dthe leader \u2062of\u2062 PA Legislature. POTUS \u200bwants to chat with them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The indictment claims that this text was\u200c &#8220;an overt act in\u200b furtherance of the conspiracy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, it cites a meeting with Pennsylvania state \u2064legislators on Nov. \u206325, 2020, as well as Mr. \u2063Meadows&#8217;s participation \u2064in meetings\u200d with\u200c political \u2064adviser\u200b John McEntee in December 2020, during which Mr. McEntee was \u2062asked to develop plans to delay Congress&#8217;s joint session on Jan. 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Georgia, the indictment mentions Mr. Meadows&#8217;s visit to Cobb County Civic\u200d Center on Dec. 22, 2020, in an \u200dattempt to observe the\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/99-99-accuracy-rate-raffensperger-says-signature-match-audit-found-no-evidence-of-voter-fraud-in-cobb-county-only-2-out-of-15118-signatures-identified-as-problem\/\" title=\"\u201c99.99% Accuracy Rate\u201d Raffensperger Says Signature Match Audit Found No Evidence of Voter Fraud in Cobb County \u2013 Only 2 Out of 15,118 Signatures Identified as Problem\">signature match audit<\/a>, but he was prevented from doing so.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>against him arise under federal law and involve federal constitutional issues,\u201d Meadows&#8217; lawyer said in a court filing. The case accuses Meadows of conspiring to interfere with the election results.
