Ronny Jackson Responds to Body\u200b Camera Footage Showing Altercation at Rodeo<\/h2>\n<p>Rep. Ronny\u2064 Jackson (R-Texas) has responded to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-congressman-responds-after-video-shows-his-confrontation-with-police\/\" title=\"Texas Congressman addresses video of confrontation with police\">newly released body camera footage showing<\/a> him being tackled to the\u200d ground by officers during\u200b an\u2063 altercation at a rodeo\u2064 outside the\u200b city of Amarillo\u2064 in \u2062late July.<\/p>\n<p>In\u200d the\u2062 31-minute\u200c video released by the Texas Department of Public\u200d Safety on\u2063 Aug. 14, the two-term Republican congressman\u2063 can be seen approaching a group of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/police-suv-plows-through-crowd-that-was-mobbing-his-car-while-responding-to-street-racing-in-tacoma-video\/\" title=\"Police SUV Plows Through Crowd that Was Mobbing His Car While Responding To Street Racing In Tacoma (VIDEO)\">people surrounding<\/a> a 15-year-old girl who authorities said \u200dwas having\u2063 a seizure.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Jackson, who previously\u2064 served as the White House physician for \u200dformer Presidents Donald \u200bTrump and Barack\u200b Obama, is later seen wrestled to\u2062 the ground by at least \u200dtwo troopers for refusing to\u2063 comply with their demands. Unfortunately,\u200b the Sheriff in Carson County is \u200dnot among them,&#8221; Mr. Jackson wrote in\u2063 the post.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will apologize for\u200b my language, but I will not apologize for getting\u2064 upset [and] \u2062speaking my\u200b mind considering the circumstances,&#8221;\u2062 he added.\u2062 &#8220;If I had\u2062 to do \u200cit again, I would still step up \u2062 [and] act in a \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/border-patrol-agents-rescue-toddlers-dropped-from-14-foot-barrier-at-border-into-u-s\/\" title=\"Border Patrol Agents Rescue Toddlers Dropped From 14-Foot Barrier At Border Into U.S.\">life-threatening situation<\/a>. I will \u2064ALWAYS help someone in need. I WILL NOT apologize for that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b video&#8217;s release also prompted a response from the congressman&#8217;s spokesperson, who reiterated that Mr. Jackson was prevented from providing \u200cmedical care to the\u200c teenager due to &#8220;overly aggressive and incompetent\u2062 actions&#8221; by\u200d officers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Congressman Jackson, as a trained \u200dER \u2062physician, will not apologize \u2064for sparing no effort to help\u2064 in \u2062a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/another-eyewitness-account-from-the-stop-the-steal-event-at-the-us-capitol-including-a-memorial-to-ashli-babbit-pictures-video\/\" title=\"Another Eyewitness Account from the Stop the Steal Event at the US Capitol \u2014 Including a Memorial to Ashli Babbit (Pictures, Video)\">medical emergency<\/a>, especially when the circumstances were chaotic and the local authorities refused to help the situation,&#8221; Kate\u2064 Lair said.<\/p>\n<h2>Sheriff&#8217;s Report<\/h2>\n<p>According to a 17-page sheriff&#8217;s report of the \u2064incident, a trooper allegedly informed \u200bMr. Jackson that multiple people asked the congressman to step\u200b away\u200c from the\u2062 patient to clear the way for \u2064EMS\u200d personnel, which Mr. Jackson has denied.<\/p>\n<p>The report,\u200c which includes accounts \u2064from multiple officers who responded to the\u2063 incident that occurred \u2062on July 29, also claims \u2062that Mr. Jackson shouted at \u2062troopers\u200b and threatened to go after Carson County Sheriff Tam Terry politically.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2063 became a contest of who oversees the patient\u2019s care,&#8221;\u2064 Mr. Terry wrote in the report. &#8220;One thing for sure\u2063 is everyone present knew that the Trooper\u200d was a Trooper,\u200b and everyone should have complied with his commands no matter the circumstances. Also, \u2063the two Deputies on the\u200d scene were\u2063 in\u2064 uniform and recognizable, \u2063and their efforts to de-escalate the\u2064 situation were ignored (even after the patient was taken to the ambulance) to the point that \u200cthey felt the need to take action to control the\u2064 situation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, two\u2064 witnesses said that they were\u200b about six feet\u2062 away from the initial confrontation at the rodeo in White \u2062Deer\u2014a small\u2064 town outside the\u2062 Panhandle city of Amarillo\u2014and \u2062believe the deputies had overstepped.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200cwitnesses, identified as Jodi and Chris Jordan, said the congressman was trying to help \u2064the teenager before EMS arrived and that the deputies were needlessly rough in pulling him away, noting the officers \u200d&#8221;barely\u2062 missed the concrete&#8221; when they took Mr. Jackson to the ground.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From our \u2063view, he never\u2064 saw EMS,&#8221; Jodi Jordan told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2023\/08\/14\/ronny-jackson-dps-bodycam-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Texas Tribune<\/a>. &#8220;He was away from the patient \u2062before they even got there.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
