He appointed U.S. attorney David Weiss \u2062as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sidney-powell-is-an-american-legal-giant\/\" title=\"Sidney Powell Is an American Legal Giant\">special counsel<\/a>, stating that\u2063 it was in \u200dthe &#8220;public interest&#8221; for \u200cWeiss to take \u200don this role.
