The group accuses Granholm of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/energy-secretarys-alleged-ethics-violations-prompt-15-groups-to-demand-her-resignation\/\" title=\"15 groups demand Energy Secretary's resignation over alleged ethics violations.\">repeatedly violating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/john-kerry-financial-disclosures-show-millions-in-income-from-stocks-including-oil-companies\/\" title=\"John Kerry Financial Disclosures Show Millions in Income From Stocks, Including Oil Companies\">federal ethics laws<\/a><\/a> and regulations, while\u2064 also \u200dsetting a poor example for her subordinates.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We request the immediate \u2062resignation of Secretary\u200d Jennifer Granholm based\u2063 not only on her actions \u2013 her repeated apparent violations of\u200b federal ethics laws and regulations \u2013 but also\u2063 on the ethics failures\u2062 and legal missteps of her subordinates resulting from\u200d her poor example,&#8221; the group wrote in their <a href=\"https:\/\/protectpublicstrust.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Granholm_Resignation_Coalition_Letter_Signed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a> to President Biden.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One of the first ethics concerns surrounding Granholm arose in\u2064 2021, shortly after she assumed office as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-energy-secretary-pick-called-out-by-republicans-for-democrats-awful-record-on-green-jobs-video\/\" title=\"Biden Energy Secretary Pick Called Out By Republicans For Democrats\u2019 Awful Record On \u2018Green Jobs\u2019 (VIDEO)\">energy secretary<\/a>. During her\u2062 initial \u2062months as a cabinet\u200d member, the Biden administration\u200b promoted\u200d the electric bus \u200bcompany Proterra, despite Granholm still holding Proterra stock options\u2064 due to her previous position on the company&#8217;s \u2064board. She eventually sold her stock for $1.6 million, just before \u2063an ethics deadline required her to do\u200d so.<\/p>\n<p>Granholm \u200dwas also \u200bable to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tax-the-rich-north-carolina-dem-stashes-more-than-1-mil-in-cayman-islands-fund\/\" title=\"\u2018Tax the Rich\u2019? She claimed to have\u2063 only become \u200baware of the shares in May \u200band stated that her testimony to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources\u200d Committee in April was a &#8220;mistake.&#8221; Her husband sold the shares\u2063 for $2,457.89\u2062 on May 15.<\/p>\n<p>Before her husband\u2064 sold the stock, \u2064Granholm filmed a video promoting electric \u200cvehicles, in \u2063which\u200b she rode\u2063 an electric Ford Mustang. This raised\u2062 concerns that she was \u2063promoting Ford, a company falling\u2063 under her authority as energy secretary.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s one of two things at this point.
