As the son of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of President John F. Kennedy and Sen. Mr. Kennedy has been vocal about what he perceives as the dangers of COVID-19 vaccines and vaccines in general.<\/p>\n<p>During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on July 20, Mr. Kennedy&#8217;s comments \u2064on vaccines\u200d and the COVID-19 pandemic sparked\u2062 heated\u200b exchanges between Democrats \u2064and \u2064Republicans. Republicans defended Mr. Kennedy, while Democrats attempted \u200dto\u2064 cancel his\u2062 appearance and move \u200cthe testimony behind closed\u200d doors. Both attempts were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>In his testimony, Mr. Kennedy highlighted YouTube&#8217;s removal \u2063of his speech when he announced his candidacy,\u200c emphasizing the \u2063importance of respectful debate \u2063for democracy. However,\u200c Mr. Kennedy\u2063 argues that YouTube&#8217;s actions \u200dwere done in partnership with\u200d the federal government to silence \u2064critics.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 lawsuit contends\u200c that\u200d there is a close enough \u200bconnection between YouTube and the\u200b government that \u200dYouTube&#8217;s actions\u2062 can\u2063 be treated as those of the government\u2064 itself.
