There is a surpassing \u200bpublic interest in the expeditious resolution of these questions, in order that these \u2063questions raised by the former president\u2019s conduct for which he now stands charged do not continue\u2064 much longer to cast \u2063a dark shadow over America and\u200b her democratic system of government and governance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Classified Information and Presumption of Guilt<\/h2>\n<p>Former President Trump&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-judges-lawyers-file-brief-in-support-of-doj-timeline-for-trump-2020-election-trial\/\" title=\"GOP judges and lawyers back DOJ's timeline for Trump's 2020 election trial.\">lawyers anticipate ample discovery materials<\/a> and multiple witnesses, as they have\u200c said that an indictment in this case means they will\u200b move forward with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/exclusive-new-indictment-will-pull-back-the-curtain-on-the-2020-election-trump-lawyer-5441236?utm_source=open&#038;utm_medium=search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">subpoenaing<\/a> several key officials \u2064in order to &#8220;pull back the curtain&#8221; on the tumultuous elections and reveal what actually happened.<\/p>\n<p>The amici brief authors\u200b expect otherwise. &#8220;The trial will involve at most a &#8216;minimal amount of classified\u2062 information&#8217; and\u00a0one &#8216;of the defendant\u2019s attorneys of record already possesses an interim clearance to review certain [of that] classified \u200cdiscovery,'&#8221; they wrote, quoting DOJ responses. &#8220;Moreover the\u00a0government has confirmed that it will accelerate its\u200c discovery \u200bobligations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This trial does not present questions of law that cannot be resolved in the time allocated.
