Valued at \u200b$5 billion \u2063last year, \u200bOla sold\u200d around 95,000 e-scooters from April-August 2023, industry data showed. <\/p>\n<p>While\u200d the new models will boost Ola\u2019s\u2062 market share, Aggarwal said his focus \u2064is to increase EV penetration in India and \u200bwants electric \u200bmodels to comprise the majority of scooter sales by next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur \u2064goal is eventually to\u200c bring the upfront\u2062 price of an EV equal to internal combustion engine models \u2026 without any government incentives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The IPO-bound\u2063 company\u200c also plans to \u2063expand its plant\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fisker-to-sell-electric-suv-in-india-with-view-to-local-production\/\" title=\"Fisker to sell electric SUV in India with view to local production\">annual production capacity<\/a> to 2 million units from \u2062500,000 currently, and double the number of experience\u200c stores to 2,000.<\/p>\n<p>Ola recorded an operating loss of $136 million on a revenue of $335 million in the fiscal ended \u200cMarch 2023,\u200b Reuters reported.<\/p>\n<p>However, Aggarwal said the business has \u201cscaled very well\u201d so far\u200c and expects financials to be better.
