Vanessa Guillen was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison\u2064 on Aug. 14, the Justice Department announced.<\/p>\n<p>Cecily Aguilar, 25, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/texas-woman-pleads-guilty-in-connection-with-death-of-fort-hood-soldier-vanessa-guillen-4894235\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pleaded guilty in \u2064November<\/a> to four charges in relation \u2064to Spc. Guillen was\u2062 a\u200b soldier stationed at Fort Hood in \u2064Killeen, Texas\u2014the third-largest Army base in the United States\u2014when \u2064she disappeared on April 22, 2020. She was last seen in the parking lot of Fort Hood\u2019s Regimental\u200b Engineer Squadron Headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>Police <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/human-remains-found-in-search-for-missing-fort-hood-soldier-army-confirms-3408415\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">discovered her remains<\/a> about two months\u200d later near the Leon River.<\/p>\n<h2>Chief Suspect Dies<\/h2>\n<p>According to prosecutors, Ms.\u2062 Aguilar assisted her then-boyfriend, Army Spc. Aaron Robinson, in corruptly altering, destroying, mutilating, and concealing the body of \u200bSpc. Guillen, in an attempt to prevent him \u200bfrom being prosecuted for any crime.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors allege that\u200d Spc. \u2062Robinson murdered Spc. \u200cGuillen, who was 20 \u2064at the time \u200dof her death, \u2064with a hammer, and later dismembered and\u200d dumped her\u2064 body.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents,\u2063 Spc. Robinson later told Ms. Aguilar that he had \u200ddumped Spc. Guillen&#8217;s body in a remote site in Bell County and enlisted her help in\u2062 disposing of it.<\/p>\n<p>Spc. Robinson\u2062 died by suicide\u2064 when authorities confronted him.<\/p>\n<p>The Justice Department further claims that Ms. Aguilar altered and destroyed information contained in a Google account belonging to Mr.\u2064 Robinson.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During the investigation into the disappearance of Vanessa \u2064Guillen, Aguilar made four <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/grassley-demands-doj-fbi-update-status-of-investigation-into-kavanaughs-fraudulant-accusers\/\" title=\"Grassley Demands DOJ, FBI Update Status Of Investigation Into Kavanaugh\u2019s \u2018Fraudulant\u2019 Accusers\">materially false statements<\/a> to federal investigators,&#8221; the Justice Department said.<\/p>\n<h2>&#8216;Vanessa \u2063Guillen Served This Country&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>Following her \u2064death, Spc.\u200b Guillen&#8217;s family claimed that superiors had sexually harassed her before she\u2063 was murdered, and a report by the U.S.\u200c Army said that her sexual harassment complaints had been ignored by Fort Hood officers.<\/p>\n<p>Spc. Guillen&#8217;s death and the \u200ddeath of\u2064 others \u2063prompted an investigation by the United States into the\u2064 leadership at Fort Hood, led by Gen.
