According to the Biden-appointed attorney general,\u2062 the\u2062 investigation will \u2064be led by\u2062 David\u2063 Weiss, the same U.S. attorney \u200cwho concocted the\u200b now-derailed <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/27\/hunter-bidens-plea-deal-wasnt-supposed-to-protect-him-it-was-supposed-to-protect-joe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sweetheart plea agreement<\/a> granting \u2064Hunter \u2014\u200d and by default, Joe \u2014 immunity from future federal charges.<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, \u2062Garland did not \u200dtake any questions from reporters following the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>While legacy\u200d media\u200b will undoubtedly claim Weiss\u2019s\u2062 appointment is \u2063\u201cproof\u201d America doesn\u2019t have \u200ca\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/09\/second-trump-indictment-is-proof-of-two-tiered-justice-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two-tiered justice system<\/a>, \u200bGarland\u2019s launch of a special counsel \u200binvestigation\u2062 confirms exactly \u2064that. Special counsels aren\u2019t immune from congressional oversight. But don\u2019t be surprised if and when Weiss uses the\u200c investigation to stonewall\u2063 House Republicans\u2019 oversight \u2064efforts by\u2064 trotting \u200bout\u200c the infamous \u2063\u201cI can\u2019t comment on ongoing investigations\u201d line.<\/p>\n<p>The special \u200dcounsel isn\u2019t just designed to investigate the Bidens; it\u2019s to protect\u2063 them from future \u2062Republican-led inquiries.<\/p>\n<p>Egregious as it is, Friday\u2019s maneuver is\u200b hardly the only instance in which Garland has taken overly politicized actions to benefit \u200cDemocrats. The Biden appointee\u200d has regularly abused his powers to protect his\u2064 political allies\u200c and target any American who stands\u2063 in the way of\u2062 the left\u2019s authoritarian agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that it was Garland who\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/spencerbrown\/2021\/10\/05\/bidens-ag-calls-for-action-against-parents-decrying-critical-race-theory-n2596963\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">instructed<\/a> the FBI to \u200ctarget parents at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-communicated-with-dhs-over-infamous-nsba-letter-documents-show\/\" title=\"White House and DHS exchanged messages regarding NSBA letter, records reveal.\">school\u200d board meetings<\/a> \u200dunder the false premise\u200d they were domestic terrorists. It was \u2064also his DOJ that recently <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/01\/30\/mark-houck-pro-life-dad-targeted-by-biden-regime-acquitted-of-trumped-up-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attempted<\/a> \u200dto imprison Mark Houck, a\u2064 Christian\u2062 father and husband \u2062arrested by the FBI, for protecting his son from an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/angry-abortion-activists-protest-outside-kavanaugh-roberts-homes\/\" title=\"Angry Abortion Activists Protest Outside Kavanaugh, Roberts Homes\">angry abortion activist<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And \u200bwho could forget \u2062how Garland and the DOJ stood by and did nothing\u2064 when left-wing anarchists \u200dshowed up\u200b at the homes\u200b of Republican-appointed SCOTUS justices to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/16\/john-roberts-failure-to-bring-dobbs-leaker-to-justice-sets-a-dangerous-precedent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">harass and intimidate<\/a> them into upholding \u2063 <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>? Or the agency\u2019s similar inaction when leftist criminals were <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/01\/26\/after-violent-attacks-go-ignored-by-law-enforcement-pro-lifers-take-investigations-into-their-own-hands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">firebombing<\/a> \u2064crisis pregnancy centers after the court\u2019s draft majority decision\u200d in <em>Dobbs<\/em> got leaked?<\/p>\n<p>After all, \u200cwhy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/merrick-garland-reminds-us-regularly-why-hes-never-deserved-to-sit-on-the-supreme-court\/\" title=\"Merrick Garland's actions consistently prove he is unfit for the Supreme Court.\">charge violent street communists<\/a> when you\u2064 can just <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/09\/biden-doj-indicts-former-president-donald-trump-over-classified-documents-squabble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">indict<\/a> your boss\u2019s leading political \u2062rival ahead of \u2062a major election (<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/19\/bidens-doj-will-trigger-a-major-crisis-if-trump-is-indicted-for-jan-6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">twice<\/a>)?<\/p>\n<p>Garland\u2019s abuse of\u200d federal law enforcement not\u200c only exemplifies why he should be <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/09\/its-past-time-for-republicans-to-impeach-biden-and-all-his-top-officials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">impeached<\/a>;\u200c it demonstrates why he has never deserved to sit \u2064alongside\u200b honorable \u2062justices like Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court. While figures such \u2063as \u2063Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell deserve credit for keeping Garland\u2064 off the highest judicial body in \u200bthe nation, \u2062they\u2062 deserve equal scorn for <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/senate\/333570-mcconnell-backs-merrick-garland-for-fbi-director\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suggesting<\/a> this man should be anywhere\u2064 near \u2063federal office.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike Thomas \u2063or Samuel Alito, Garland isn\u2019t\u2062 interested in interpreting \u2064the Constitution \u200cas written\u200d or ensuring it is applied\u200d equally\u200b among the\u2064 American people. Rather, he \u2064views the law as \u200ba weapon \u200dthat can be molded and manipulated\u200c to advance Marxism throughout the\u2062 U.S.\u2064 legal system.<\/p>\n<p>If\u200c his 2016 SCOTUS \u200cnomination had been successful, there\u2019s no\u2063 reason to believe Garland\u2019s jurisprudence on the high \u2064court would be any different than the judicial activism displayed by Justices\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/30\/8-straight-fire-quotes-from-neil-gorsuchs-defense-of-free-speech-in-303-creative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sonia Sotomayor<\/a> and\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/29\/of-course-ketanji-brown-jackson-supports-affirmative-action-its-the-only-reason-shes-a-supreme-court-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ketanji Brown Jackson<\/a>.
