It was recognized as a minor political party in Colorado in January. A couple \u2062of months later, it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/no-labels-no-cash-third-party-ballot-access-group-raised-zero-dollars-in-first-six-months-of-2023\/\" title=\"Third-party ballot access group raised no funds in first half of 2023.\">gained ballot access<\/a> in Arizona and Oregon in March.<\/p>\n<p>In \u2064July,\u2064 an \u2062official from\u2064 No \u2064Labels revealed that it had gained \u2064ballot access\u200b in Utah. And earlier\u200b this month, the organization qualified for\u2062 Nevada\u2019s general election ballot \u200cas a minor party.<\/p>\n<p>No\u200d Labels intends to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/no-labels-third-party-bid-worries-biden-and-democrats-more-than-republicans\/\" title=\"Biden and Democrats are more concerned about No Labels' third-party bid than Republicans.\">secure ballot access<\/a> in all 50 American states.<\/p>\n<p>The party has not yet nominated a candidate \u200cfor the 2024 presidential election but\u200b could\u2063 nominate one next year in Dallas.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with NBC News, Benjamin Chavis, former executive director of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)\u200b and a \u200dnational co-chair \u200bof No Labels, said the group will\u2063 end its effort for an\u2063 alternative candidate if, by next \u200bspring, polling shows that President \u2063Joe Biden\u200b is\u200d \u201cway, way out ahead\u201d of President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>The advocacy group NAACP has a history of being criticized for an alleged anti-Republican \u2062stance.<\/p>\n<p>No Labels recently told Politico that it will exit the presidential race if the GOP nominates any candidate other than President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Since\u2063 1968, no third-party\u200c presidential candidate has won electoral \u2064votes.<\/p>\n<h2>Senator Manchin \u2064a No Labels\u200b Candidate?<\/h2>\n<p>Though \u2062No\u200b Labels has \u2064not declared a candidate, there are rumors of Sen. \u200bJoe Manchin\u200c (D-W.Va.) being a potential pick. On July \u206417, he was \u200bthe \u2062keynote\u200d speaker for No Labels\u2019 Common Sense Town Hall\u200b event.<\/p>\n<p>When asked\u200d during the event whether his \u2064potential candidacy would act as a spoiler for the \u20642024 \u200dpresidential race, Mr. Manchin replied, \u201cI\u2019ve never \u2062been in any race I\u2019ve ever spoiled. I\u2019ve been in races to \u200bwin and if\u2063 I get in a race, I\u2019m gonna win. With that being said, I\u200d haven\u2019t made a\u200d decision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re here \u200dto\u200d make sure the American people have \u2064an option, and the \u200boption is can you move the political \u2062parties off their respective sides,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve\u2064 gone too far right and too\u2062 far left \u2026 That\u2019s not who \u200dwe are,\u2064 that\u2019s not where we come from, and it\u2019s not the people we are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Manchin went on to \u2062claim that the \u201cbusiness model\u201d of Democratic \u200dand Republican parties is \u200cthat it \u200dis \u201cbetter \u200dif you\u2019re divided than\u2064 united.\u201d \u2063He insisted that \u201cwe\u2019re\u2062 going to change \u200dthat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is speculation that Mr. Manchin won\u2019t be seeking another term in Congress\u200d as \u2063he will launch \u2062his presidential\u2064 bid. \u200dHe \u200cis\u2064 yet to announce a reelection \u200bbid for his West Virginia Senate seat.<\/p>\n<p>During\u200d the Common Sense Town Hall event,\u2064 No Labels national co-chair Pat McCrory, a former \u200cRepublican North Carolina \u2064governor, said that their \u2062efforts were \u200bbeing challenged by Republicans and Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve \u200dgot volunteers signing up people everywhere. Sadly, we have some\u2064 operatives out of\u2063 Washington, D.C.,\u2062 who want to just keep the status quo as it\u200d is and stop our efforts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will present\u200c a president and vice\u200b president candidate on a \u2063No Labels ticket, but only if we see an opportunity to win.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Democrats Disrupting\u2062 No Labels \u2064Efforts<\/h2>\n<p>While No Labels calls \u200citself a unity\u200d ticket, many Democrats claim\u2064 that the organization is a spoiler that would siphon\u2064 off votes from President Biden\u200b and aid President Trump to \u200dwin the\u200d 2024 election.<\/p>\n<p>A \u200dcandidate from No Labels can likely swing the presidential race in critical areas, potentially in favor\u2063 of President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>The No\u200d Labels candidate could\u2063 also end up creating a \u200bsituation where no \u2064presidential candidate\u200b is able to secure 270 electoral votes. This would allow \u2063state\u200b delegations of the House to choose the winner of the presidential election, likely favoring \u200bthe\u2064 GOP nominee.<\/p>\n<p>Several groups\u2062 aligned \u2062with the \u200dDemocratic Party are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-warn-of-unique-threat-election-ballots-to-list-no-labels-as-third-option-in-these-us-states\/\" title=\"Democrats raise concerns over a \"unique threat\" in certain US states: the inclusion of a \"No Labels\" option on election ballots.\">pressuring\u2063 elected officials<\/a> to denounce any\u200b presidential\u2063 campaign from No Labels.\u200c The Democratically-aligned \u200dMoveOn and \u200dThird Way have created a pledge to \u2062push this agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe, the \u200dundersigned elected officials, recognizing the urgent\u200d and unique threat \u200cto \u200bdemocracy in the form of right-wing extremism\u200c on\u200c the \u200bballot in 2024, call on No Labels \u2063to halt their\u2064 irresponsible efforts to launch a third-party candidacy,\u201d the\u2063 pledge states.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir candidate cannot win, but they can and would serve as a spoiler that could return someone\u200c like Donald Trump to\u200b office. \u2063I, therefore,\u200c commit to opposing a No Labels third-party ticket in 2024 for the\u200b good of the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Arizona Democratic Party had earlier filed a lawsuit seeking to \u2062stop No Labels from appearing\u2064 on \u2063ballots\u200d in the state after Secretary of\u2063 State \u200cAdrian Fontes granted official \u200brecognition to the organization in March.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona Democrats argued that\u200b there were technical issues with No Labels\u2019 signature gathering\u2063 process.\u2064 However, a\u200b Maricopa \u200cCounty Superior Court judge \u200cruled this month that No Labels \u200dcan stay on the 2024 ballot in\u2064 Arizona.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No Labels, aiming to field an independent candidate in 2024, has gained ballot access in seven states, including North Carolina.
